It had become a sort of habit, dropping into the cafe when he had hours of work, to be seated by the table as she nursed cups of coffee between her hands. Spread out on the table was her work, music sheets for the piano lessons she would be giving, theory papers she had to grade for those students, in addition to arranging the concert sheets for her next performance.
Dazed, Misha put her hand to her mouth, propping her chin up. Normally, she would have just worked and dozed off while waiting for him, caught up on some sleep, finished her work, but today, she was exceptionally attentive to what he was doing. She wouldn't be walking home with him--she would be going home, with him, to check on the kittens.
It had been a while since she had gone to see the kittens, and she supposed that, really, they were no longer 'kittens'. Probably. Pulling up her sleeve, Misha glanced at her watch. Only half an hour or so more. Alright. Taking another sip of her coffee, she resumed the grading of papers.
Thirty more minutes. Shutting her eyes, she smiled to herself.
