10am went with family to visit cemetery. it was raining. played some bravely default on the subway and car rides
2pm arrived at karaoke place, except it turns out everyone was late anyway so I walked over to port authority because I don't know how else to waste time and that is one public place where I would not feel bad about loitering (plus it was raining outside)
~2:45 went back to karaoke and met up with fc. karaoke was good, sang all the Love Live songs I had looked up, and then tried another one that I didn't think would be on the machines (wonderful rush), but it was there. So then I realized the karaoke machine that the place had was the type that had a lot more songs than the one we thought it was. spent time looking up more love live songs with the limited internet access (the place is underground so reception is pretty bad); fc mostly sang kyary songs
at some point hflw arrived with his good 4g and generous wi-fi tethering and all was good. blu also arrived later and bitmap even more later (~6ish?). we were in a small room for 4 people so they didn't charge him. they had the actual videos for the mikakunin songs which was neat. bitmap and I ended it with an improvised version of the love live ED which I very much appreciated. I also forgot to get the stampcard stamped, but not really a big deal since we always do karaoke marathon and rarely have a use for one free hour
~8pm took the subway to a bonchon but it was the wrong one so we walked in the rain. blu stopped at a hotdog stand and we just left him. eventually met up with a bunch of other people at the bonchon near go go curry and it was good (chicken, okonomiyaki, fries). some discussion on kawaii rice cookers and about drinking
~10:30pm? it was still raining really hard outside and josh was making loud noises at strangers. anyway the rest of them went to ichiumi and I went home. cool day
karaoke with fc for 6 hours (steve did not show up). sang all the new songs I wanted to sing (we also sang the non non biyori ED three times)
at 8 we walked over to halal guys on 53rd and 6th and met up with zzgzzpop. decided to go to the new location on 14th and 2nd but after getting there found out the restaurant wasn't actually open so we got food from the cart (really good, though probably shouldn't have eaten it all because it was a lot). it was really cold outside.
later steve and his girlfriend arrived and then we all went over to dunkin donuts near union square after also meeting up with josh and attempting to go to starbucks first (it was closed). I got a hot chocolate mostly to warm my hands
on the subway ride home I did the acnl toy day stuff. watched ichigo mashimaro christmas episode at home.
played hearthstone. had a 5-3 mage arena run; the deck was really good I was just bad and made lots of misplays.
met with fc and yuyu at starbucks and drew for about 3 hours and then they had to leave (at different times)
6pm decided to go to go go curry. they put a lot of curry on there, presumably by accident because the cashier told me "that's a lot of curry" as she handed it to me. usually I feel like there's not enough sauce but this time there was definitely too much.
took subway home, played hearthstone. sorta randomly threw together a hunter deck without the intention of actually winning anything but was somehow able to win 6 or 7 consecutive games (unranked) before losing to a priest who completely destroyed everything I had
friday: last day of work of the year for me. most people also left pretty early or weren't here that day. went home, played some hearthstone, then took the subway uptown (after several delays) and met with fc and group for dinner (including josh, zzgzzpop, that one other guy and really tall guy). listened to some interesting conversations
saturday: skype chat with mils and drew stuff. then played hearthstone and looked up karaoke songs for tomorrow
subways were pretty annoying, didn't realize R trains weren't going to Jay St. so transferring was weird except then it helped me realize that there was an exit on the 42nd st times square station that was actually not that far away from where I needed to go, so I guess in the future I don't really even need to make any transfers to get up there
arrived at gogocurry at about 1pm, fc and a ton of other people were there. I was expecting barely anyone to be there but I think it ended up being like 15+ people and I don't feel like naming everyone (also I didn't actually know most of them). I guess some of them were here for nycc. anyway later bitmap, lily, and easynam arrived and we all went into the restaurant at the same time and ordered curry and stood outside waiting for everyone.
went over to bryant park and ate there. bitmap easynam and I drew for a bit. also those pigeons are barely afraid of anything, even compared to most other pigeons I have seen. then we all headed over to a starbucks and sat around for a while and then went to nintendo world where a lot of them bought the new pokemon game. there was also some free stuff (foldable pokemon visor hat things with pictures of the starter pokemon, and some posters). hflw arrived when we were heading out.
walked over to book off and looked around for a while. they moved some things around since last time, I had no idea where the old CDs section used to be (or if it even existed)
sat down at a place near book-off and josh and some other people went back to nintendo world to exchange his x version for y because he didn't like the deer legendary. drew a bit (other people played their pokemon) and then
went to new wonjo for dinner. actually saw someone from college at the entrance though I don't think he remembered my name but that's fine. ate food and then bitmap easynam and I went to port authority where bitmap took his bus (except actually he missed it and waited for the next one) and easynam and I walked around to find a place to sit and draw and ended up going to the nearby starbucks.
took subway home at about 10pm, spent a significant portion of the train ride going through all the acnl streetpass houses. also at some point in the day I streetpassed someone that I've streetpassed a few times in the past, so I'm assuming whoever they are, they were probably at nintendo world at the time we were there, or just out somewhere possibly doing nycc things. that's kinda cool
played more animal crossing on the plane; my 3ds actually lasted the whole flight but then again I was taking breaks (I get a headache playing for too long on the plane) and it was on lowest brightness.
the people to the left and right of me knew each other and it was kinda annoying sitting in between them
arrived in norcal at about 10pm-ish?? waited for @ephshi
several things happened with phone
went to in-n-out and got a cheeseburger and fries, which I felt weren't as good as the last time I had them in socal a few years ago. but that might just be because it was pretty much 1am due to jetlag
went back to fc's place, looked at some artbooks and played animal crossing
Thursday:
waited at a starbucks for moshi (@milktea)
did a quick detour into stanford because he had to move out and get a chair
went around various places in SF, and then went to twitter hq to meet with benson (@aerathil). twitter is really fancy and has a huge food place and we sorta got in trouble for taking pictures of a deer statue
after lunch, moshi and I went around SF some more and then to lots of different places around the golden gate bridge
then at night met up with benson and @prototype27 and went to little sheep for hot pot with fc, @wartonchan, @math4origami, @fallingcirno. it was good
then went around trying to find milk tea places but one of them was full and was about to close
went to arcade for a bit also, where benson and I played some more animal crossing
and then fc and I went back to fc's place and probably played some more animal crossing
Friday:
waited at starbucks for @canon_chan, played animal crossing while waiting
went to gamba karaoke and russell was there also and we sang lots of songs, though russell had to leave in the middle
it's a lot cooler than in nyc because 1. free wifi which is incredibly convenient for looking up songs, and 2. being able to search for song names digitally rather than finding the song number in a book
went to panera and got mac&cheese
then canon and I went to mitsuwa and a bakery place and also to best buy for a while (then found out the animal crossing dlc was not out yet). also svgl where I got a blueberry icee (the red flavor was out) and played some animal crossing
and then we went to starbucks and played animal crossing and one of the staff members saw it and was like "cool!" because he had it too
then at some point went to a pizza place with fc, canon, fallingcirno, @thatsgobbles, liz, and two other people whose online names I do not know (sorry!!)

then some of us went back to fc's place for drawing times until pretty late at night
Saturday:
went with canon on a very long road trip up to davis to pick up @madotsuki; I don't remember the places we stopped other than maybe jamba juice but I feel like there was probably something. oh wait I don't remember if saturday was mitsuwa or if it was friday. I think maybe it was saturday. actually no I don't remember ignore that, it was safeway and then uc davis I think
anyway did many waits for mado while she slept for some hours
then she woke up and we all went to japantown and played some animal crossing on the way
met with @phosphatide and prototype there, some people got crepes and I got onigiri and phos got dango I think
then canon and mado left to do the Real Escape thing and the rest of us went to arcade place and the bishi bashi happened and also table flipping game which I was no good at. benson arrived at some point while table flipping was happening
played more animal crossing with benson (island minigames) and streetpassed like 15 people who also had animal crossing and it was cool because some of them had minimalist furniture and nice stuff
then sat around waiting for canon and mado to finish escaping for real and then they did and we went to a place and got japanese food (in japantown yes who would've expected)
went to kinokuniya where I saw they had lots of obscure stuff and it was cooler than the nyc one
phosphatide and i took the train back to sunnyvale and waited for fc to pick us up to boardgame night
then boardgame night happened and I played some top shop with some people and it was cool but also really late at night. also @r1ck_d0m was there!
then went back to fc's place at late-o-clock
Sunday
woke up at like noon or something
went to orenchi ramen, where they had good ramen and okonomiyaki fries and takoyaki and it was good
back to fc's place, did some animal crossings and then at some point went to get thai food with gobbs and two other people whose online names I don't know (sorry!! they were at boardgame night though)
was still really full from ramen place so I got a chicken salad which actually had a lot
back to fc's place, attempted to watch anime but it wasn't working so we gave up and played 3ds games also gobbs chopped down my island trees (due to not being aware of how things work in the game) and I ended up resetting
went to airport at about 10pm?
plane, which was supposed to depart at 11:05, ended up leaving 2 hours later for whatever reason
Monday
was somehow able to sleep for most of the flight (given by the fact that I don't remember much of the flight that didn't involve me taking off the eyemask for a few seconds at a time and looking around as it got progressively brighter
arrived at about 9am and took taxi home, then got stuff and took subway to work
got to work at about 11, did first day of work and felt pretty tired
went to mighty quinns for lunch. also there was a new full-time worker today!
went home
played animal crossing and typed up this blog post
12pm took subway to manhattan, played some more eo4 demo. Mostly airship stuff
1pm met with @ephshi @catplanetcuties (formerly @8bmp or @bitmapchaos or... whatever it was previously) @hflw @lilypichu
after eating, walked over to karaoke duet 53, got there at like 2pm
I sang a ton of vocaloid songs pretty much. @equinoxrocks and chris arrived at some later time (I think at about 6:30?). Ended with Last Night Good Night, after which it felt like my voice was dying
we went to ny beer company for dinner; the chicken flatbread thing I ordered was huge (didn't get beer though because I don't drink). A bunch of other people showed up including @zzgzzpop @afrostevekun @yyr_ @mattostrofsky and uhh I don't remember everyone. There was also some collaborative drawing times in my sketchbook
8:50pm-ish? went to port authority with bmp and lily, waited around with them for a bit, then took subway home. Had to walk home from the subway station because dad's car wasn't working. The wind was really strong and it was really cold
1pm waited for @ephshi at go go curry, then went to starbucks to wait instead because it had wifi and so I would actually have something to do
~1:45pm? fc arrived, we ate curry, then went over to the starbucks and drew stuff. Also when waiting for the bathroom there was a guy in suit who for some reason started talking to me about job offers. In fact there were a bunch of people in suits in the starbucks. Then later @desucarforcutie (formerly @akirascuro) and @c2switch showed up. And then also later @afrostevekun (formerly @mr_sangkm) and @xminttea showed up. And then later @bearpigman showed up. And then steve was feeling sick and had to leave. Then later another person who I don't know if he even uses twitter showed up. Time was spent drawing and listening to people tell stories about various things. Here's some of the things I drew. sameface everywhere.
6:30pm-ish? went to kbbq restaurant and we were joined by more people and had a group of 13 people woah (@shin_superdry and @equinoxrocks and a bunch of other people I didn't know where also there). Also I learned that shin works at cooper union and I think I have seen him around the building because I vaguely recognized him. Anyway after kbbq a bunch of people left, then we went with akira to deposit cash into an ATM and when the door opened it made weird noises
~9pm the rest of us attempted to karaoke at karaoke duet 35 but it was full and the next available thing was much later so we left. I went home and I guess the people who were still there went drinking
