I nearly had a heart attack.
When Tumblr died earlier, I thought it might have been just an uninstall-and-reinstall-the-app kind of fix, so I did exactly that but it still didn’t work.
Yada yada the app still didn’t work yada yada I left it alone and did other things while I waited.
Fast forward to a few minutes ago. I had the chance to check Tumblr again and it was working again, so I tried logging in.
And got sent to the create a new blog screen.
I tried logging in again, cuz maybe I entered my email in wrong or something (it happens a lot because w and e are too close together *silent raaaaaaaaaaaaaage*). Nope, still did the same thing.
Then I was starting to get nervous. Tumblr didn’t delete my account, did it??? I did a quick search to see if other users were experiencing anything like that, and nope, Tumblr is just rolling as normal.
Getting desperate, I remembered I’m logged in on my computer, so if anything I should be able to get in and change the email so I can try to get back in, and if all else fails I’d just post from my computer from now on. So I hopped on my PC and checked on my account.

Tldr: don’t change your account email without updating your password book entry on it. 🫠🫠🫠

"We can never be enough—nor can we ever do enough—to satisfy our natural craving for personal worth. The cycle of human striving, followed by failure, followed by disappointment, followed by more striving, never ends—and a gnawing sense of hopelessness continually crouches at the door."
