(Epic Mickey) "My dearest sons- Oswald and Mickey- if your reading this than my dream came true and you both managed to reunite. To Oswald, I'm so sorry I failed you... and Mickey, I deeply regret never telling you about your brother. I know its selfish of me to make any more requests, but I must tell you: Oswald wasn't my first creation..." Oswald and Mickey learn they have an older brother- Julius the Cat.
The letter had been found in a box of Walt's things.
Mickey had thrown all of the things he could in the attic. He had been barely able to do anything else in his grief. Then he hadn't touched it for years.
Then he had met Oswald and then they had figured out how to get the forgotten out into the real world. Finally, Mickey had remembered Walt's things. Oswald had shrugged when he asked if he wanted any of Walt's things.
Except, their mission to sort through the things had stopped.
"My dearest sons, if you're reading this then my dream came true and you both managed to reunite. To Oswald, I'm so sorry I failed you... and Mickey, I deeply regret never telling you about your brother. I know it's selfish of me to make any more requests, but I must tell you: Oswald wasn't my first creation..." Oswald blinked at the writing. He glanced at Mickey. The weird look on his face made him pause before turning back to the letter. "His name is Julius. He left home years before and I have no idea where he has gone since. I hope you three will be able to reunite. Love, Walt."
Footsteps made him glance back.
Mickey had marched out of the attic and was currently down the stairs.
"Mickey?" Oswald called. A weird noise made him put aside the letter. "Mickey?" He scrambled down the ladder. "Mickey? Mouse?" Another weird noise made him poke his head in the doorway. "Mickey Mouse?"
Mickey was sitting on the couch. The weird noises was coming from his hands, shoulders shaking. "Mickey?" Oswald carefully called. "Are you okay?"
He pulled his hands away.
Oh. He was laughing.
It was high-pitched, a touch hysterical. It got louder and louder as Oswald watched. "You okay?" the rabbit finally managed.
Mickey finally stopped laughing. "No."
"Fair. Fair." Oswald glanced back at the attic. "So...how do we want to handle this?" Usually he would act on his own, but Mickey... didn't seem to be the best condition for that.
Mickey took a deep breath.
"We need to find Julius."
