Welp as I concluded my #EpicReturn to the Hill at @famu_1887 Homecoming post, it’s only befitting that I do with my Tallahassee Church Family @lfcchurch • A lil back story… I stayed in Tally for 5 addition years after graduating from thee @famu_1887 out of obedience to MY GOD and the Spirituality that I chose to follow and believe in. I served humbly, faithfully and with all the dedication you could imagine. I was Ordained as a Deacon in the Lords Church, and then elected to be the 1st Chairman of the Deacon Board, further hone my musical talent by serving as a member of J.A.M.M. (Jehovah‘s Anointed Music Ministry) which included Spirit & Truth Ensemble (Praise & Worship Team), serve as a choir member of several choirs in addition to eventually becoming the Director of the Mass Choir. I also served on the Finance team and a few of the smaller ministries (as if what I was doin wasn’t enough 😂). I was able to learn, grow and develop during these years- as a Man, a Deacon, and a Vocalist. Not to mention that the whole Church were practically all my hair clients. During these years I perfected my craft as a Hairstylist & Makeup artist. I worked in 3 hair salons (all black, all white and Supercuts) and a Barbershop. Honestly, aside from obeisance it was the music that kept me!!! @lamar_simmons and @clowepro are musical genius’! Collectively we birth some amazing & anointed music during my tenure (go download the Albums now- I’m even on one of the album covers). So no thought given when I heard my request was granted, to have a 20th year anniversary reunion concert- I was all in (thx LB @nupe_edukator). It was a blessing to sing with some of my old acquaintances and to meet some new. Whoooooh dez pipes are rustyyyy when it comes to Choir sannngin. 😂 @mr.barr1911 @antoniomurphy_ U guys are beast wit dem Alto- I mean Tenor parts 😂😂… keep doin whacha do!!! In short, all for the LOVE OF MUSIC, my 1st LOVE and my EVERYTHING!!!
