10 Times the Women of the Last Jedi Ruled the Galaxy

It is without question The Last Jedi had more women in major roles than any Star Wars movie to date. Star Wars article I wrote last night for Epicstream on request. I was suddenly asked to churn out a few quick articles and it seemed like it was the most natural thing to write since I tend to memorize whenever a lady does something cool in a movie anyway. And I got to talk about my girl Rose. And it would just be utterly depressing for me to write negative things right now, so I chose to do positive articles.

I ask that nobody bite my head off for this, I forced myself to write it last night while I was sobbing over unrelated angst and mental illness issues, and it was very much the best I could do. I know TLJ is firepit of controversy, but cut me some slack, i reaaaally wanna stay out of the Star Wars discourse. I just gotta earn a living.

Death Note (2017 Netflix Movie) Review: Dead on Arrival

There’s something to be said for going into an adaptation with an open mind and not comparing it to the source material. However, Netflix’s Americanized Death Note movie is absolutely terrible whether or not you consider the source material, so I might as well look at the two stories side by side and figure out what went wrong. Here it is! My review for Netflix’s whitewashed Death Note! Basically, comparing it to the source material was like comparing apples and apple cores. I mean, I enjoyed the original manga and anime, but it’s not like I consider it to be a work of genius or anything- but seeing this gave me a whole new appreciation for it, because...god. Wow.
