It has officially been one month since Wynston’s last seizure. 🙌 Throwing all the salt over my shoulder and knocking on all the wood. He was having one seizure a month before we started him on meds.

It's been exactly one week since my Reiki training and I've learned that Reiki impacts your life in ways that you don't expect. I've felt calmer, more peaceful and more resourced. My own anxiety is under control and I've started giving my anxiety-riddled dog Reiki treatments. Morris also has late-onset epilepsy and I gave him his first treatment right after a seizure earlier this week. As a result, he is literally seeking me out and lying next to me as much as possible. This is not his normal behavior at all. Normally he lives in a constant state of fear and anxiety, hiding under my bed or cowering when I call his name. He is not an abused dog, but his anxiety level is so high that he exhibits signs of abuse. He's currently medicated (Prozac) and takes the highest dose to control his seizures. We've wondered if he has Cushing's disease, but the medications have gotten rid of those symptoms.
