vanessa’s making her way down 

the street,bumping into other people

along the way cause she keeps looking

down to check her phone to see if the

person she’s supposed to be meeting 

has texted her back yet,which happens 

to be her boyfriend/girlfriend that they’re

meeting for the first time,and vanessa is

as nervous as she could possibly be

because she’s only saw around three 

pictures of them before,so for all she knows

she could end up getting killed tonight.

and it scares her even more when she

bumps into someone and they grab both 

of her arms,and she’s about to start screaming

for someone to help her until she realizes 

who it is that had grabbed her.

     she couldn’t believe that good luck finally came here way with the one thing she’d been dreaming about for over a month now. ‘ you know, i thought i’d never see you again, ’ she states, lips threatening to tug into a wide grin. ‘ your, uh ---- your girl’s not around, right ? ’ she questions, eyes darting from their eyes to their lips & down to their hand. as cheesy as it sounded, all she wanted was to lace her fingers with theirs, remind herself what it’d been like weeks prior at the park. vacations for her were few & far between, so it must have been FATE that her first in years led her right to the other. ‘ i think it’s only fair that we spend some time together, yeah ? ’

   honestly poppy-mae had never really been a fan of blind dates before, since her split with douglas, she’d steered away from dating and instead focused on herself and her battle with her inner demons. but now, one of her friends ( grace, if we’re being exact ) had mentioned about a date she’d set her up on with the help of one of her friends. & honestly she was contemplating standing the guy up because she really didn’t enjoy this - and of course still being hung up on your ex is a good reason to avoid dating, right ? none the less she'll still go and her freshly dyed blonde hair is curled and parts pinned to her head, and with a fresh new makeup look and her favourite pink dress - she feels p r e t t y. and being 4 foot 11 means the girl needs heels so now she feels somewhat dressed up as she stands outside the restaurant waiting for her blind date to show up, nervously biting at her lesser lip as she glances around, watching couples enter the restaurant whilst she stands here waiting for her date.
