These episodes were ones I was looking forward to for days!
Jianjian, Ling Xiao and Ziqiu are all grown up now and very different people.
Ling Xiao is a dentist now and returns home and so does Ziqiu, who is now a pastry chef.
Ziqiu is mistaken for a pervert by Jianjian and he gets dragged to the police station and that’s how they reunite. (i couldn’t stop laughing)
Jianjian develops a tooth inflamation and she gets dragged to Ling Xiao’s hospital where he charmingly takes his face mask off asking her why she doesn’t recognize his voice. (so cute)
They meet and it is quite embarassing for them to have a proper conversation. It is quite natural that they think everyone has changed.
Both Ziqiu and Ling Xiao are taken back at how much Jianjian has changed over the years. Ziqiu doesn’t understand why she acts distant but Ling Xiao quite accurately predicts how she feels and why they are so distant now. Ziqiu admits he is trying to win her back while LIng Xiao decides to do it silently.
Li Heping is having a hard time connecting to his son who has become more independent and a lot more distant as well.
Jianjian finally reveals why she is having a hard time reconciling with her brothers; she waited for so long for them to come back and they didn’t. 9 years later, she doesn’t know what to say to them anymore.
Both of the brothers end up moving next door to Jianjian and the whole ordeal is hilarious in and out of itself.
The episode ends with the revelation that Jianjian now has a boyfriend; something Ling Xiao and He Ziqiu are unaware of and will probably disapprove of.
I see what is coming up next; their protectiveness for her is gonna make her lose it once and for all and will finally let them know how she feels; it is very important for this to come out for I feel like without that their relationship wouldn’t improve.
My heart broke to see how disappointed Ziqiu and Ling Xiao were to see Jianjian pushing them away; i don’t blame her tho. The cutest part of the episode is where Ling Xiao says that Jianjian has gotten prettier to which Jianjian says she still looks like a child. Ling Xiao says in his eyes, she is the prettiest woman in the world.
