could you talk more about Jeff x Shirley? I keep seeing posts about it and like personally i never would have seen anything between them but I’m curious about what other ppl are picking up on that I’m missing lmao

Sorry this took a bit and honestly i get why a lot of people don’t see it. A lot of that is because they really didn’t do much with Shirley.   (Which i will yell about till the end of days) The few moments we get of Jeff and Shirley. we get soft moments. (I wish i had gifs but there is a moment of him kissing the top of her head somewhere. )  They also have a backstory that no one else had that never got explored.  Jeff and Shirley knew each other before they really changed to become who they are now. In the episode where we get that backstory we find out after that match Jeff became more jaded and Shirley controlled her anger more. So honestly they both would have someone to be more vulnerable with. Shirley saw Jeff for who he was in his heart and would tell him that but never judged him,  On the flip side, Jeff saw Shirley's anger and gossip. He saw it as interesting. It was something they got along with.  The few moments we really saw them together they actually worked well. they have vulnerable moments. they had moments of indulging in who they were.  In truth we got very few moments of Jeff and Shirley together. We got very little character growth and moments of Shirley and Shirley didn't get enough of anything on that show.  I think if they had been put together it could have been a good move for them both  But once again Shirley was underused in the show in every way. I’m probably missing stuff on here but if you go under their tags on my page you can probably find a lot of post that i’ve talked about them on.

HC that eponine and cosette and enjolras and grantaire go on double dates. and the waiters always assume that eponine and grantaire are together and enjolras and cosette are together and they all kind of laugh and its beautiful and pure and they all become best friends and they buy two houses next to each other and when ep and cosette decide to adopt a kid, enjy and R come over to babysit all the time and the kids love them and nobody dies and its fluff-central :)

oh my god yes! They take ultimate glee in saying “and my girlfriend  will have” and “my boyfriend will have” just to see the waiters’ faces drop in confusion and embarrassment. Enjolras does it for social justice reasons.... Eponine and R just really like fucking with people

Enj and R are the godparents lbr and they spoil the kid rotten . Eponine keeps chastising them but Cosette just shushes her and gives her another cupcake as they watch their kid eat their third chocolate biscuit in an hour.

‘What happened doesn’t change anything’ Grantaire thought the morning after.

So maybe they had been arrested together, maybe he’d seen Enjolras facing off against the riot police alone and gone to his side. And maybe Enjolras had taken his hand (Grantaire’s brain was still computing this), and when they’d been thrown in the overnight cell together they’d talked all through the night until Combeferre had come to bail them out.

That didn’t mean it had changed anything. Enjolras still did not like him.

‘It absolutely did not change anything.’ He thought again, as he walked into the meeting and was blinded by Enjolras’ smile directed at him. He kept repeating the mantra to himself as Enjolras beckoned him over to his table and asked him to sit down.

‘This doesn’t change anything.’ He forced himself to remember, when Enjolras’ head lent sleepily on his shoulder at the movie night. 

“Nothing has changed, and nothing will ever changed.” He thought bitterly at night when he couldn’t stop thinking of him. “Stop getting your useless hopes up.”

When they were alone, and Enjolras reached for his hands and laced them into his own, and tilted his head to kiss him, Grantaire thought to himself, “This changes everything.” and finally stopped thinking.

hiatus

[ this is a queued post. ] hi! over the next few days (and most probably, the next week), I'm going to be extremely busy with a lot of real life stuff, and just mentally I've been doing awful and tumblr has not been helping that at all. you can still reach me on my snapchat and my instagram if you have it (and if you want to reach me, feel free to ask my friends for one or the other) but it's tumblr specifically that's becoming a toxic place as I have been using it more as a diary than a social platform, resulting in lots and lots of arguments, which is inexcusable on my end, and is ending up bringing out the worst in others, too. so, to maybe hit the reset button, I'm going on hiatus. I'll definitely be back, but I will be deleting the app from my devices so that a) I don't give in and check it, and b) nobody in real life finds my blogs in the process of all this moving and whatnot lmao. please feel free to (in fact I encourage you to) reblog this to spread the word! Aw fave I hope you're doing better I had a small hc that R and enjolras and cosette and eponine all go out on double dates together and the waiters always assume that R and Ep are together and then cosette and enjy so they all just laugh and then one day they buy houses next to eachother and it's fluffy and no one dies Lmk if you need anything :) I'll think of more headcanons if u want

Oh gosh, that’s super cute–and imagine that the houses had fences around the yards, so they knocked down the portions between their houses, and constantly find themselves going back and forth between properties or houses. They have regular sleepovers and at least twice a week have homemade dinners together at home. The four collectively adopt a dog, which is allowed to go freely from one house to the other whenever it pleases - the dog has no preference, and loves them all equally.

Their things wind up in one another’s homes so often that the four of them have a running joke about it — they refuse to tell their friends who lives officially in which house. All of the Amis get into debates about who lives in which house, and they refuse to settle it.

Instead, the four like to sit in their joint back yard, sipping lemonade and watching.
