Whitby resident Raluca Urlea has started a petition to press the Ontario government to reverse its changes to funding for autism therapy. Her seven-year-old son Logan Moore was diagnosed with autism at age three -- and until 18 months ago he was non-verbal. After starting intensive ANA therapy 40 hours a week, he is now speaking in phrases, making eye contact. etc. The therapy costs $9,000 a month and is currently covered by government funding. Under the new model, the family will only get $5,000 a year. Left to right: Mathew Moore, with children Logan,7, and Charlize,5, and their mother Raluca Urlea.
