The first edition of Mott’s Biographical Sketches, which includes an account of Olaudah Equiano abridged from his 1789 narrative, was published in 1826 as a textbook for African Free School students and was the first American work celebrating African Americans. There would be nothing comparable published in the United States until the works of African American writers of the mid-19th century.

His 1789 autobiography, The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equiano, sold so well that nine editions were published during his life and helped secure passage of the British Slave Trade Act 1807, which abolished the slave trade in Britain.[3] The Interesting Narrative gained renewed popularity among scholars in the late 20th century and remains a useful primary source.

Der Equiano Rum Original duftet angenehm nach getrockneten Früchten wie Rosinen und Sultaninen, dazu steigt das Aroma von süßem Toffee, Butterscotch und Karamell in die Nase und das Bukett wird vollendet mit einem Hauch von Orangenschale, Vanille und gebuttertem Holz. Geschmacklich: geht es leicht süß weiter und es erwartet euch ein warmes Toffee- und Butterscotch-Mundgefühl, gefolgt von saftigen Rosinen und braunen Zuckeraromen.
