Because throughout this whole controversy, I have seen virtually NO brony react the way that SU fans have been reacting. You wanna know what the only negative reactions I’ve seen from bronies are?

“We don’t care about Steven Universe, just give us more ponies.”

Meaning that any “bad bronies” aren’t even INTERESTED in watching the show. Yet anti-bronies in the SU fandom have taken this opportunity to make unwarranted jabs at a group of people who did nothing to provoke it, under the guise of “protecting their community”.

Here’s what I think: If the show’s as morally progressive as the fanbase makes it out to be, then it won’t attract assholes.If the show is simply a good children’s cartoon, then the assholes it attracts won’t come exclusively from the brony fandom, and are probably already in the SU fandom.There is absolutely NOTHING reasonable about the correlation that a few bronies entering the fandom will ruin it’s innocence. 

THAT’S why I painted the SU fans as “unreasonable”, because that’s exactly what they’re being.Finally I will leave you with this: Assholes can come from anywhere

Also, you can't put some horrid, disgusting, bigoted views on the internet and NOT expect to get some fucking, well-deserved backlash.

she did not threaten anyone. the “backlash” did. threats are illegal, i hope everyone who sent them goes to jail. and you better beware, if even one thing said is untrue, you can be sued for libel. In this case the best thing to do is to ignore that someone on the internet has a different “opinion” than you. the wrong thing to do is to threaten them. you’re not gonna change anything by doing that. youre not going to make her stop being whatever you think she is. in fact, you’re going to make it worse. you’re proving everything that she says to be correct by overreacting and by reacting in the worst way possible 

well deserved, you say? is rape well deserved by anyone? i thought the general consensus of this website was that no one deserves rape. does she deserve death threats for saying something on the internet? absolutely not.

views are the same as opinions. Please get a dictionary. And as an opinion, she has the right to have it. her poem was not putting anyone in danger. her going to whatever event she wants is not putting anyone in danger. therefore, freedom of speech because this is america and she cannot be punished for having opinions. So she dated a nazi? Doesn't mean she agreed with all of his views. Since when does anyone have the right to police who someone else dates?
