I only realized towards the end that the post meant Jim from IT, but I was like this is weird, unless he's significant, they wouldn't go into so much detail with a one time character. That's one thing that kind of ruins other television shows for me too, taking the time to make an insignificant detail stick out enough for us to remember it makes it significant. That's one of the reasons I like really unexpected shows that turn the story on its head. Like in Rick and Morty, there's an episode where their house is full of parasites disguised as wacky characters that create memories in your mind of them so you aren't suspicious, but then the main characters discover that the parasites can't make bad memories in your mind, so as long as you've never had a bad memory of this person, you can shoot them. They kill all the parasites and everything goes back to normal, they're all eating breakfast, but there's one wacky character left, and the mom is like wait... I don't have any bad memories of you, you must be a parasite. And the audience is like you missed one, you missed one, so you think the twist is that they missed one, but when she shoots it and it turns out this character that's never been in the show before that you thought was a parasite is actually real. Like, that's unexpected. That's what I like. But most shows are too predictable. Even Sherlock.
