Is this a safe space to admit that i found Saw 2 kinda boring on first watch because of how much it focused on Eric Matthews?
I had high expectations since everyone was praising it as the best sequel ever (or even their fave Saw film) but i just couldn't get past the amount of characters that were being ignored so i could watch fuckass Eric Matthews get ragebaited 15 fifteen different ways
Can I request a Eric Matthews x girlfriend!reader where he doesn't get into college and he is really upset because she got into Pennbrook college and he is just really upset. And she talks to him about how she doesn't think he is a loser or anything, she is just really in love with him and will always be there for him? thank youu!

The acceptance letter from Pennbrook sat on your desk.
Normally, it would have been one of the happiest days of your life.
Instead, all you could think about was Eric.
You found him sitting alone on the swings behind the school.
His shoulders were slumped.
His hands shoved into his jacket pockets.
And for once, Eric Matthews wasn't smiling.
Your heart immediately hurt.
You sat down on the swing beside him.
Neither of you spoke for a moment.
The chains creaked softly as you gently rocked back and forth.
Finally, Eric sighed.
"So congratulations."
You looked over.
His eyes stayed fixed on the ground.
"You got into Pennbrook."
The attempt at sounding happy didn't fool you for a second.
"Eric..."
"You deserve it."
His voice cracked slightly.
"And I don't."
The words hit harder than you expected.
You reached for his hand.
Immediately.
Without hesitation.
Eric finally looked at you.
His eyes were full of disappointment.
Not in you.
In himself.
"I didn't get in."
"I know."
"I'm such a loser."
"No."
He laughed bitterly.
"Yeah, I am."
"No, you're not."
"Y/N—"
"Eric."
Your tone stopped him.
For a moment, he just stared at you.
You squeezed his hand.
"Do you know what I see when I look at you?"
His expression said he was pretty sure he didn't want to hear the answer.
You smiled softly.
"I see the guy who makes me laugh when I've had the worst day imaginable."
His gaze dropped.
"I see someone who cares about people more than he realizes."
Still nothing.
So you continued.
"I see someone who would do anything for the people he loves."
Eric swallowed hard.
"And I see someone I'm completely in love with."
That got his attention.
His eyes immediately lifted to yours.
You smiled.
"There he is."
For the first time all afternoon, the corner of his mouth twitched upward.
Just a little.
"Y/N..."
"You not getting into Pennbrook doesn't change any of that."
You shifted closer.
"Not one thing."
His voice was quiet.
"But you got in."
"Yeah."
"And I didn't."
"So?"
Eric looked genuinely confused.
"So?"
You nodded.
"So."
He shook his head.
"I don't want you dating some guy who couldn't even get into college."
The statement made your heart ache.
You immediately grabbed both of his hands.
"Eric Matthews."
He blinked.
"Listen carefully."
Now he knew you were serious.
You leaned forward slightly.
"I don't love you because of where you go to school."
His eyes softened.
"I don't love you because of grades."
A pause.
"I don't love you because of college acceptance letters."
His grip tightened around yours.
"I love you because you're you."
For several seconds, Eric couldn't speak.
The disappointment was still there.
The hurt was still there.
But some of the fear had begun to disappear.
"You really don't think I'm a loser?"
The question came out so quietly that it nearly broke your heart.
You immediately shook your head.
"Never."
His eyes grew suspiciously shiny.
You smiled.
"And whether you're at Pennbrook, another college, or figuring things out completely..."
You squeezed his hands.
"I'm staying."
A laugh escaped him.
A small one.
But a real one.
"You are?"
"You're stuck with me."
That finally earned a proper smile.
The one you'd been missing all day.
Eric shook his head.
"I seriously don't deserve you."
You grinned.
"Probably not."
"Hey."
You laughed as he nudged your shoulder.
For the first time since the rejection letter arrived, some of the weight on his shoulders seemed lighter.
Not gone.
Just easier to carry.
Because now he remembered something important.
No matter what happened next...
He wasn't facing it alone.
