I normally don't address folks, but I need to make this clear...

It's funny how the very individuals who trash her legacy, say she wasn’t a great singer/dancer, mock her death, fuel unverified polemic rumors, or even say she didn’t deserve the title she has today are oddly the same ones telling her fanbase to "let HER rest".

How can someone rest peacefully when everything they worked towards is being tarnished by the very haters and comments that brought her NO living peace at all when she was alive?

You don’t have to bring her talents (or lack thereof in YOUR opinion) down just to upset the person you are currently disputing with, then follow up with a “let her rest” comment.

The comment “let her rest” should be given to the individuals who apparently seem to find pleasure putting her down for no provoked reason but to upset the person they are speaking with and get likes.

Think about someone in your life who has passed. We all enjoy reminiscing on fond memories of them and the joy they brought to us.- Aaliyah was a human being too... give her (and her fanbase) that same respect. We are here to celebrate her life and the love she shared.

Rest in heavenly Peace Aaliyah. Rest knowing that your fanbase has carried your legacy for decades by ourselves and continues to ensure your final wishes of being remembered as a full on entertainer and a GOOD PERSON are pushed in your honor. You worked towards great things and new heights and we will not allow that to be torn down.
