I agree with your post on Taki-sensei, I really thought he was a good portrayal of how someone in his function would act when said they wanted to aim for Nationals and disliked the girls who were pissed off at him.

Exactly!  It’s really tough to be in charge of teenagers, especially ones who don’t want to do the work, just reap the results.  He has to take a tough stand in order to show them that they aren’t going to get away with that shit, and that if they want to aim for a national competition, they’re going to have to work.

favourite canon pairing: RUBY AND SAPPHIRE they’re so adorable *squishes their little cheeks*

worst pairing ever: lapis/jasper.  Talk about the like, textbook example of an abusive, manipulative relationship.

guilty pleasure pairing: HMM pearl/amethyst, because I’m kind of a sucker for any relationship where they bicker and fight but also care a lot about each other.

a pairing you want to see more: pearl/garnet.  Idk, I feel kind of weird about this ship since we learned that Garnet is a fusion, but she and Pearl are like, the “sensible” moms and they obviously feel really comfortable around each other.  Alternatively, I unfortunately really like Lars/Sadie ON THE CONDITION that he actually stops being such a huge douche to her.  He’s a huge tsundere, and I love his shitty attitude, but if he cares about her, he needs to act like it.

that pairing everyone likes but you’re like “lol no”: Basically anything with the Homeworld gems.  We don’t know enough about them and how they act around others to really know how they would be in relationships, so shipping them with each other or other cast members just doesn’t interest me.

favorite non-romantic pair: Non-romantic being platonic, I’d probably say Steven and Garnet?  Square mom is the best mom.

Q. Would you rather be dirt poor and emotionally fulfilled in life or be rich beyond imagination and emotionally dissatisfied for life?

Idk maybe I’m too much of a pessimist for all these questions, but I’m not neurotypical, I can be completely emotionally fulfilled and still be strung out and stressed and paranoid and depressed about said emotional state.  I’d rather have financial security and the emotional dissatisfaction that I think is pretty standard in everyone’s life.  I mean, even people with good jobs and happy marriages and loving friendships are emotionally dissatisfied sometimes; you just can’t be happy all the time, that’s the way things are.

B. What is your first thought when you receive a message on Tumblr, are you excited for the idea of someone from potentially the other side of the world wanting to talk to you or fearful that someone will criticize you?

It depends!  Like, for example, today I reblogged this question set, so if I get a message, I figure it’s probably for that.  But when it’s just a message out of the blue?  I get a little freaked out because I’m scared it’s hate or something like that.

D. Would you rather know everything the universe has to offer but in exchange lose all emotions or remain the way you are now?

I’d like to stay as I am now.  I think without my emotions, I’d just completely lose my sense of self, and it doesn’t seem worth it to die as an individual to gain all this knowledge.  I’m not so obsessed with knowing everything that I want to give up what I feel in exchange.

H. If it meant it would solve all world hunger, war, disease and bigotry, would you spend the rest of eternity in Hell?

EHHHHH this is a hard one, because I don’t believe that a utopia is possible OR that hell exists.  I think that unless you fundamentally change human nature, the utopia would eventually fall apart, and so Imma say nah.

N. What was the worst nightmare you ever had?

Man this is a hard one, because I’ve had a lot of nightmares but most of them just wake me up in a panic, they don’t actually distress me much beyond that.  I have some weird, reoccurring Saw-esque nightmares that always take the same course, and in the dream I know what’s going to happen and how horrible it is, but I have to do it anyways to progress the plot.  Those always fuck me up.

X. You can eliminate one of your five senses to substantially strengthen the others, which one and would you do it?

FUUUUUUUUU- god I have no idea, I wouldn’t want to eliminate ANY of them.  I guess touch?  I don’t have a significant other to cuddle or do anything like that with, so at the moment I wouldn’t really miss it.
