D&D X TMA

Making a list of my characters and their relationships to TMA fears because. Yeah.

Eris Triumph: Avatar of the Eye (Photographer, Blackmailer, Nosy Bitch), Victim of the Corruption (Her body is literally rotting away around her).

Carnaea Vaughn: Avatar of the Hunt (Werewolf, Pirate, nicknamed Captain Carnage), victim of the Lonely (has lost everyone she loves 5 separate times and in 4 different ways)

Zekoro Fanks: Avatar of the Lonely (a literal hermit, raised an army of the undead, had no friends, intentionally kept to itself), victim of The End (haunted by the memory of accidentally killing its parents, fucked up necromancer, died.)

Cirice: Avatar of the Vast (homebrew race, starborn, she’s literally made of space dust, and came from the void), Victim of the Lonely (Has been alive for 750 years, on the run from an evil queen who wants her as a prize, cannot afford to make connections for danger reasons)

Anyway. Based on this what do we think my primary fear is be honest.

Thinking about Eris and Abaddonix (D&D) extra hard tonight. . . .

Abaddonix died at the end of today’s session, and I can’t get him out of my head so. Here’s This.

These two characters are narrative foils, with Abaddonix being marked by a fear entity called Manipulation, and Eris being a master manipulator. Our character playlists share so many of the same songs (Plucked by Destroy Boys and Pork Soda by Glass Animals, for example) but we see them from different perspectives- one of us listens from the victim’s perspective, and the other listens as the perpetrators. And it’s so fucking upsetting. They’re both catty bitches. Eris erased his memory and he died without ever knowing it. She always begged him for cigarettes. He always gave them happily. After his death, he took his final pack of cigarettes and smoked one in his honor. She’s a sociopath and literally The Worst Ever. She’s going to miss him.

Playing a character who is unrepentantly evil yucky terrible is so overwhelming. I love how I’m playing her, but as a people pleaser. The act of playing her makes me so anxious sometimes. But I love her. I hope she explodes into viscera. She’s the fucking worst. Idk.
