20 dollar nose bleed.

at first thought, seulgi wasn’t sure she could see herself sparring with mingyu—working out, jogging, anything like that, yes. and she was well aware that they were both capable of many, many feats..they were dangerous people; but that was never what she thought of first when she thought of mingyu. he was a light in her life, a boy that had given her a purpose the moment he stepped in her life and one that still carried one, one she still vowed to protect, no matter the cost.
but at second thought? seulgi could see where sparring was beneficial, and with a mutual agreement she was easily comfortable with it. it was mingyu, after all, and she trusted him and knew she could very happily work with him on something like this. plus, training could be made fun and productive, couldn’t it?
that’s what she had been hoping for, and that was how things had been rolling, that was until seulgi rolled with the punches a little too hard (at least in her book). sparring was meant to be light, so seulgi had certainly scared herself the moment her gloved hand bounced off of mingyu’s cheek, the fierce aura she had immediately shattering. of course, the hit wasn’t too hard, but the fact she had landed a hit on his face was enough to hinder her for a moment.
“i didn’t mean for that, i’m sorry! are you okay?”
This was comfortable for him. If there was one thing that Mingyu knew, it was that Seulgi could handle herself. He wasn't afraid of hurting her because he knew that they were evenly matched. Honestly speaking, he was slightly convinced that she could take him down if she wholeheartedly wanted to. That reason is precisely why he has never underestimated anyone. He's well aware that anybody can be capable of anything, and gender, size, age— absolutely nothing can change that. He views everyone as equals, never puts himself above others unless he's experienced some sort of reason to, and always did what he could to respect individuals, even if he didn't like them.
That's likely the main reason that he was so relaxed, possibly more comfortable than he's ever been sparring with anyone. Why? Because Seulgi truly cared about him, and he knew that no matter how into it they could possibly get, she'd never be out for blood. He trusted her, he hoped that she could trust him, so it was nice. Why would he spar with anyone else when he can spar with someone who's practically family?
Everything was going smoothly at first, until her gloved hand collides with his face with a little more force than he thinks she intended. This is quickly confirmed, however, by her reaction. He playfully moves his jaw around before tilting his head to the side, attempting to get his neck to crack. A large grin soon formed on his face and he softly shook his head at the girl. "I'm fine. You've seen me live through much worse than this, trust me. I'm so used to pain that I barely felt that. Don't stop now, we've only just started. I'm a big boy, I can take it."
