Any interest in writing out the "erlich makes jared smoke pot" incident?

It happens after Jared wakes up screaming from another horrific nightmare. Erlich calms him down with hugs and kisses and then says “I have some low-THC weed I use for this sort of thing. It won’t make you high, it’ll just calm you down and make you sleepy. Do you want to try it?”

Jared nods. Erlich roots around under the bed and comes up with a glass pipe and a small baggie of weed. He lights up, then hands it to Jared, who replicates the motion.

“Hold the smoke in your lungs for a bit,” Erlich says. Jared complies. “Okay, now exhale.” Jared blows out a puff of smoke. “Again.”

He repeats the action several times, then hands the pipe back to Erlich just as his head starts feeling cotton-wool-y. Erlich takes a few puffs, then puts the pipe and lighter on the nightstand and lies down next to Jared.

“How do you feel?” he asks.

“Soft,” Jared whispers. “Like I’m made of clouds and I could just...float away.” His eyelids grow heavy, and he closes them. 

He feels Erlich press a tender kiss to his temple and squeeze him tightly. 

“Sleep well, honey. I love you.”

“Love you too,” Jared murmurs, drifting off on his cloud.

I know its a running thing in the show that jared pointedly doesnt drink, but im kinda sad that other than when erlich said he had a bottle of martinellis for him, they always demonstrate jared not drinking by having him look at his glass of alcohol while everyone else is drinking like "what do I do with this?" like thanks a lot for showing that jareds coworkers/friends dont care about him enough to realize he doesnt drink bc they keep pouring alcohol for him even though he never drinks it!

Right!! Like obviously Richard wouldn’t notice but you’d think at least Gilf or Dinesh would.

There’s also that scene where they all split a giant non-alcoholic margarita which Erlich probably ordered so that Jared could feel included and that is the sweetest thing.

I don’t think I’ll ever finish the alcoholic AU but I wanted to include Erlich as someone Jared meets in a mental health support group who offers him weed and when Jared explains that he’s a recovering alcoholic Erlich says, “Okay, what about a cup of tea instead?” and he’s the first person who doesn’t make a Thing out of it and doesn’t tiptoe around it or coddle Jared, and Jared finds that really wonderful.
