Askin actually sees himself as a fairly unlikable person. But if he had to choose his absolute worst trait, it would probably be his cowardice. He’s not a brave person, and he knows it. He’s generally kind of nervous, and being part of Wandenreich has done nothing to improve his disposition. Askin will say or do just about anything to diffuse tension– even if it means running from a fight or flat-out lying to someone just to say what they want to hear.

He hates being so spineless because it binds him to Yhwach as well. He’s too afraid to rebel, too scared to step out of line or refuse an order, even though he doesn’t necessarily agree with His Majesty’s decisions. Because of this he ends up getting roped into a lot of situations he’s not comfortable with.
