I liken sitting down to write to extending a branch of a tree, any leaves that sprout 🍃, the work you had hoped to produce (blossoms 🌸 in the case of those who endeavor to write poetry).  Before you can write, before you can extend a branch, you must anchor your tree first, find your roots, locate a sturdy trunk.
