F-Fantos the Amassor from Kid Cosmic season 2, my beloved 🥺💕💕💕
"Kid Cosmic from God to Goo"
The second season of kid cosmic was as enjoyable as the first season, but I didn't like the criminal nerf that was given to the poor kid at all.
(This is part of his character development, but still...)
This was done so that Jo would look like the leader of the hero team, which is to be appreciated a lot and although kid's telekinesis is too OP, but the treatment they gave him looked very ugly.
(Literally 🤣)
“Erodius... Erodius! We though it was gone. The evil from our past has returned...”
Listening to episode ten and the season two trailer again, this is the only time Erodius is ever referred to using a pronoun. Not “he” as the masculine “-us” suffix would suggest, or “she” to throw us for a loop, or even “they” because this is space and what the fuck is gender, but “it”.
Erodius is a magic science planetoid thingy instead of a traditional humanoid alien, so is it even a person in the traditional sense of the word? Can it think? Can it feel? Does it have a soul? If not, can it truly be evil?
Sure, planet-killing is a major threat to the galaxy and the Local Heroes have to stop it, but the problem won’t be solved by destroying Erodius. That would be antithetical to the entire theme of the show:
“Real heroes don’t just go around looking cool and beating up people just because they’re different and they don’t understand them. Being a hero isn’t about forming a fist. It’s about extending a hand. Heroes help, not hurt.”
Erodius needs help. How can they help it?
Perhaps it’s something like the Death Star- made by a villain to wipe out planets. But its creator died (or left...?) shortly afterwards, and it’s been cruising along on autopilot ever since, breaking down a planet whenever it’s running low on energy. (It is not evil to need to eat.) Erodius has never had a chance to develop past its basic programming because nobody’s been able to communicate with it. How do you talk to something that might not see or hear or otherwise perceive in a way you can understand? (How do you explain good and evil to something that only seeks and consumes?)
If it’s an AI, you talk to it in code. But given that it’s such an ancient and fearsome piece of magitech, the only person who would know the right coding language is its creator.
Someone old, and mysterious, and good at building things.
Maybe that’s why Papa G was so confident Chuck would see the light. He was also a villain stuck on Earth who learned to be good and kind. Now he has the chance to return to his eldest child and raise it right, to help it learn as he had learned. (And also switch the fuel intake setting from “planet” to “asteroid cluster”.)
Erodius the planet killer is a reference to Remina of Junji Ito!?!! 😱😱😱😱
Ok I am not sure 🤔. Well 🤗 I began to watch Kid Cosmic, two first episodes ✌️. And I love them🥰🥰🥰
Here watching with WOY family space and friends 😘
Ok I like the Cosmic Horror (by H.P. Lovecraft) and this villain is interesting, ok I didn't think literally that would be a real planet, a planet killer, I mean I thought that the typical alien, humanoid form, but not, A planet! The Planet killer...
Lately I watched a video about the (horror) mysteries of the universe and I learned about strange being, Cosmic being that literally destroys (Eats!) Planets, galaxies,... and it is not a Black Hole, Ok I can't avoid to relate to Erodius now, although Erodius is a planet (at least until I could have watched).
Ok besides Janet and Buster in Wander Over Yonder, there is other planet with free will, but in the universe of Junji Ito, Remina who takes decisions, cheats and destroys planets.
I am not sure if it is intentionally but I can't avoid finding, due to Erodius, cosmic horror in Kid Cosmic! 😱😱😱. I suppose that my ideas will be more clear when I watch all the season but with the trailer I can't avoid to compare Eridious with Remina 😳😳😳
Trailer: Erodius arriving at Mo's Oasis 😰
Hellstar Remina: Remina arriving at the Earth 😱
Imagine Lord Dominator having fans like how Erodius had Fantos. Maybe her fans would help her after her defeat
‘Not so bad for a beginner.’

Papa G’s Connection to Erodius
I believe Papa G has some connection to the big bad Erodius. There’s not a lot of evidence but there is some things that had me think:
* We all know he’s very old. We saw from a picture of Flo when she was younger with him in the picture, identical to how he looks in present. That alone already says a lot that he may not be from earth.
* He’s not at all fazed of the extraterrestrial life around him such as the rings or Chuck. He’s clearly seen this sorta stuff before.
* He’s had a long history with the government, Biker in Black especially. Biker in Black claims quite a lot. What does Biker in Black work on? Extraterrestrial research.
* One of the only few references for the name Erodius came from Greek Mythology in the Antonius Liberalis, Metamorphoses, 7. The story goes:
“ There was a man named Autonous. Autonous acquired many herds of horses which were pastured by his wife Hippodamia and their children. Now because he neglected husbandry, no crops were produced by the extensive lands of Autonous which bore only rushes and thistles. For this reason he named his children after such plants: Acanthus, Schoeneus and Acanthis, and his oldest son Erodius, because his lands had been eroded.Erodius was extremely fond of these herds of horses which he pastured in the meadows. When Anthus, son of Autonous, drove the mares out of the meadows, keeping them out from their pastures, they were infuriated and set upon Anthus. They began to devour him as he uttered many a cry to the gods to save him. Now his father, panic-stricken through distress, faltered — as did the servant of the youth — and failed to drive off the mares. The mother went on battling with the mares, but because of weakness of body was unable to do anything to avert the slaughter. While these people were bewailing Anthus who was hardly dead, Zeus and Apollo felt pity for them and turned them all into birds. Autonous was made a quail because, though father of Anthus, he had quailed at driving off the horses. The mother was turned into a lark with a crested head because she had headed for the mares to fight for her son against them. They turned Anthus himself, as well as Erudius, Schoeneur, Acanthus and Acanthyllis into birds called by the same names as they had before they were metamorphosed. They turned the servant who had attended Anthus into a heron [erōdios] — the same as happened to Erodius the brother of the lad, Anthus — but not the same sort of heron. For it is distinguishably smaller than the dark variety. Now this heron does not associate with the anthus bird just as the anthus bird does not associate with horses, because Anthus had suffered so much from horses. To this day when it hears a horse neigh, this bird flies away while imitating its cries.”
In the story Erodius along with his family were turned into birds. And something I noticed of Papa G’s design is a particular feather he has on his hat.
* Kid Cosmic plays on ALOT of superhero and sci-if tropes. You know a popular trope? The hero being related to the villain. Most famous in Star Wars. One of the best known classics for science fiction.
I’m really excited for S2 and to see if my theory is actually right.
