The Tale of the Star Princess [Part 1] [Bungo Stray Dogs]
Fandom Series: Bungo Stray Dogs
Summary:
The Soukoku used to be the most formidable and fearsome duo that had annihilate an entire enemy base back in the past, however, the two of the Soukoku pair each have a shared weakness: Their dearest Koyou-aneesan.
Despite Dazai had left the Port Mafia for some time and had joined the ADA, it didn’t mean his respect for Koyou has severed. In fact, if Koyou-aneesan really needed help from him, all she had to do was ask and Dazai would try harder for her than grinding the effort through sorting paperwork in the Agency.
When Koyou need help from the Soukoku to perform in a certain stage play, which apparently according to her, she can only count on them. Chuya and Dazai have to work together to pull it off successfully, and trouble would surely ensue.
But how will the play turn out? What story will the Soukoku bring to the stage?
In Port Mafia..
It only took a few seconds for Chuya to suddenly spit out the red wine without taking a good gulp that will be a good burn down his throat. Unfortunately, for that poor wine and possibly also quite a waste of half of his spent finances on expensive alcohol, it's just not really a good day for him to relax for a drink.
"You want me to WHAT?" Chuya spat between his coughs as he try to regain his composure, and failing quite miserably in front of Koyou, who let out a sigh as she watch the young executive coughing and hacking.
"You're the only one I can ask to--"
"AS IF! Aneesan! You can't be really serious, can you?"
Koyou tilted her head, "And why would I not be serious about this?"
Chuya frown even more, "Why can't you ask Gin--"
"She could but I don't want to expose her without her consent. Besides, she also mentioned she wasn't interested."
Chuya clenched his fists, "Then what about Higu--"
"No can do. She's too serious for this."
Chuya slammed one fist on the counter table, growling in frustration, "BUT I AM NOT A WOMAN. SO WHY ME?"
Koyou sighed, knowing full well it wouldn't be this simple to convince, much less even reason with the (to put it nicely) not-so-tall tempermental junior of hers - but then again she wouldn't have earned her name and rank as one of the executives in the Mafia and one of the strongest senior members of the organization if she, of course, never have a backup plan.
And it was clearly quite evident that Chuya forgot when rebelling against his dearest Aneesan, the simple gesture of her just rummaging through one of the pockets of her elegantly designed kimono is very much - clearly, dreadfully and oh so dangerously a bad sign. No, 'bad' is not even enough to suffice how detrimental his luck could get.
"A-...Anee...Aneesan..." Chuya stammered nervously, the only at least 0.10/100 times he would really lose his poise and have it the hardest to counter response by throwing a tantrum is when he have it the hardest to go against Koyou. And unfortunately so, this is the time.
Koyou smiled with a devillish twinkle in her eye as she purposely made sure the slow pull of the very material that would make him wish he had never put up such a fight to refuse her become more clear when Chuya caught of glimpse of the photo in her hand.
His eyes widen to the point he wish he had just gone blind, right there and then.
"YOU SAID YOU THREW IT AWAY WHEN WE MOVED OUR BASE!"
Koyou's devious smirk is not a good sign, it rang alarm bells for poor Chuya as she finally took the photo out and in its full view, Chuya's face became as white as a puffy white cotton candy when he see the photo of his younger six year old self posed in front of the camera with a shy grumpy pout, dressed in a red yukata, a bunny headband crowned on his head and as though to 'add insult to his pride' back then, his hair styled in cute long braids with little flower petals tucked in strands.
"YOU-- YOU!! ANEESAN!!" Chuya screamed in both agony and embarassment, he didn't even realize it as his wine glass shattered in his hand.
Koyou let out a triumphantly devious cackle, "Oh my darling Chuya. You should've at least be more careful to go against your big sister! So now, will you do it? Or else..." Her grin widen behind the kimono sleeve, "This would make quite a cute addition to the 'Port Mafia's Chart of Organization' board at the lobby, hmmmmm?"
Chuya grit his teeth so hard, he could only wish death by embarassment could be a valid 'reason of death'. He knew there and then, as it is absolute certainty he can't go against the lady demon he still have high respect for, he would definitely....

When Aigonorus received the task of the day from Karno with the list of wishes, he regarded it on a usual occasion as another work he can't refuse. Even if he did have a choice, he wouldn't want to bear the eventuality of hearing nags and bossy lectures from...well, the lion of a boss himself, no other than Leon.
However, when he really did scan through the names and the wishes attached to them in the list, in a languid manner, Aigo is suddenly taken aback when he spotted not only one name but two names. The emphasis of the two names that pinned his attention cause his heart feel a special kind of warmth and affection, now hoping it didn't come out so transparent on his features.
Karno was a special exception simply for being the sharpest one amongst the other gods.
"That perked you right up, didn't it?" Karno asked in a playfully keen voice, his grin giving off his own characteristic hint of mischief, making it difficult for Aigonorus to keep his fluster state less obvious. Gosh how did being so good at making poker faces become such a rusty effort when one is in love..
He closed his eyes as he brought the paper close to his lips, inhale to sort his thoughts then exhaled with his eyes open, cleared his throat and look down at the list again, "I guess I don't have much a choice. I'm pretty sure you knew this so I'm not even sure if I should be thankful."
Karno chuckled in amusement, "Thankful you ought to be, Aigo. If it were Leon, you wouldn't hear the end of it if he is the one to hand you the errand."
Aigonorus sighed, "The Vice Minister of Wishes is not much a difference to me." He said like a mumble under his breath.
Karno smiled even more, "Oh whatever do you mean, Capricorn God?"
Aigonorus shook his head, "Nothing meaningful. Anyway, I'll be heading to work now. Thanks for this." He said as he make his leave out of the living room, the sound of Karno's soft chortle of amusement growing distant with each steps he left behind.

The little girl’s nursery school teacher received a call from the girl’s mother that she wouldn't be able to pick her up for today due to sudden delays at work. The teacher delivered the news to the five year old with a heavy-hearted smile; but when the girl looked up at her with her trademark bright smile and replied that she understood and that it'll be okay, the teacher thought it was nice as well as admirable that she seem so understanding of her mother's predicament and thus thought why not take the liberty in offering to send her home or if she can call another guardian or someone the little girl trust to bring her home.
However, when she did offer to send her home and the little girl politely declined, the teacher was more startled and perplexed by the simplest reply from her:
"It's okay, Miss! If I wish hard enough and I'm sure I can, my Papa will come and pick me up!"
In all honesty, the teacher has never, not once, met the girl's father. It has always been the mother who would come and take her home; whenever asked about the father and the possibility of him to have his turn to attend the school and pick their daughter up, the mother would often smile sheepishly and say he's been busy - and kept it as that.
The teacher never pry since then, but now it came off as a surprise which also bring about curiosity for this 'yet-to-be-seen-father' when not only this girl seem so elated at the assurance of her claim but it was the context that still seem vague to her.
Well of course that would be the case since she doesn't know the true identity of the father in the first place.
"Ah if you mean you want me to make a call for your papa, you can give me his phone number to call him, dear." The teacher said, smiling down at her as she watched packing her stationaries and little scribbled papers.
“He doesn’t carry a phone.” The girl responded with ease, as though the fact itself is really not such a big deal, which further confuses her teacher.
But before she could say anything else to rectify, the girl’s eyes turn to the door and suddenly went wide with glimmer of joy, she grabbed her bag and then ran to the door.
“Papa!!”
Aigonorus stood at the doorway with a smile as he welcome his daughter in arms, carried her up and chuckled as the girl giggled and hugged his neck. The teacher was not only caught by surprise at the sudden appearance of this man who is apparently the girl’s father but also starstruck by the revelation of his….well, let’s just say his charming physical traits seem...out of this world.
“Papa, did you come here when you heard my wish?” The girl asked him, big eyes staring into droopy dark brown ones.
Aigonorus nodded, shifting her weight to a proper position in his arms, “I did. You have Uncle Karno to thank for that, too.”
The Capricorn God then focus his attention toward the teacher, who had been standing there, dumbfounded and starstruck still watching the pair. Until she realize the ‘ethereally attractive’ looking man has been eyeing her for a while, she immediately snap out of her daze with multiple shades of red on her face as she try to recollect her poise.
“Ah yes so you must be her father. Your wife had called earlier to say she won’t be able to pick her up but she will have someone else pick her up in her place. I was expecting a guardian or a trusted friend…” The teacher explained, while trying not to sound too flustered. She try to maintain eye contact but it became a little hard when she felt drawn to Aigonorus’ physical allurement.
When Aigonorus smiled at her, she felt like her heart took a wild marathon run.
“Yes, my wife called me earlier to pick our little girl up. Thank you for taking good care of her. I hope she hasn’t been too much a trouble,” Aigonorus said politely, earning a small pout from his daughter when the girl noted what he meant.
The teacher chuckled and then shook her head, “Oh no, she has been a good girl. Very well-behaved and one of the most energetic ones in the classroom.”
The girl puff out her chest proudly, “See, Papa! I’m a good girl!”
Aigonorus smiled, “You sure are. Ready to go home now?”
The girl beamed, giggling as she buried her face on the side of Aigo’s head, muffling her little giggles, “Up we go!”
Aigonorus chuckled again, enjoying the little cute reactions from his bundle of joy. He turn to the teacher, again catching her off guard with his dazzling smile, she could’ve been easily fooled if she were told he really is a god but the closest she could think of is that he’s a ‘charming work of god’.
“Thank you for everything once again.” Aigonorus thanked her again, gave a low bow of his head and with his little girl in his arms, he took his leave. Instead of taking the shortcut mode of transportation which is just a fingersnap away to teleport them both back home, he decided to take a slow stroll with her.
Minutes later, Aigonorus positioned her to sit on his shoulders as the father-and-daughter duo carried onwards with the slow stroll, passing by calm streets and taking in serene landscape of nature and cityscape.
“Papa,” The little five toddler called out to him, looking down at him curiously as she brushed her little fingers through his shaggy hair, trying to make tiny braids with whatever she can grasp in her hands, “My teacher said Mama couldn’t come to pick me up but you came. But I didn’t wish for Mama not to come…”
A smile smile etched on Aigonorus’ lips when he picked up the small conflicted hint of uncertainty and guilt in her voice. His guess would be that the little one must have thought her wish might have been misinterpreted as a selfish wish, even though it was beyond all that.
“No, I heard your wish so I know. It was Mama who wished for me to pick you up, as well as spending more time with you.” Aigonorus answered, slowing his pace to relish in the moment with her.
The girl look relieved for a moment, then grin jovially, “Is that why we’re not teleporting home?” Then she paused for a moment like an afterthought just came to her, “But Papa, would Uncle Leon be angry at you?”
Aigonorus scoffed lightly, “As if he would. I already finished all my work just to come see you and be here with you. If Uncle Leon is going to get mad, it’s okay, Papa will be even angrier.” He said all that in his usual tone of indifference, but this time there is a small hint of genuine emphasize to the last sentence. He wouldn’t forgive Leon if it meant to antagonize him just for finishing up work early just so he could spend time with his daughter; although he really doubt Leon is that sort of superior, then again, that God of Leo can be pretty whimsical with his mood swings.
The girl giggled at her father’s sense of humor, “Angry Sheep Papa!”
Aigonorus playfully sulked as he look up at her, “I thought I said I’m a goat.”
“Nashira is a goat! Papa is a sheep! Mama said so, too!” The girl responded so happily, Aigonorus gave a resigned smile and look forward, deep down hoping time would stay still for them.
