Fun (read: boring) fact: Neither Sevvy nor Tonks started out with those names. When I got Sevvy, he was a little blue-black dude so I named him Orpheus. But that never felt quite right, and then I was re-reading Deathly Hallows and remembered that Lily's Snape was sad and floppy and greasy and then the betta's fins reminded me of Snape's hair so, Sevvy!
And I got Tonks from a dude at a Memorial Day carnival last year--I guess his kid won it but he didn't want him to have a pet, so I rescued her. She was small and yellowish-gold. I couldn't come up with a name for her so I just stuck her in the tank. When I went to feed her the next morning, she was this brilliant gold! Sooo, Tonks, since she changed her appearance so easily.
And Gred and Forge just seemed like obvious names for a pair of pets. :)
Why does everyone keep insisting that I am gay? We are just friends!
