kev and his against all odds awkwardly sweet and genuine romance is such a choice, he’s been in prison most of his life and he still found love and comfort in his version of robert !!!! and now he’s standing at death’s door but the prison system is finally spitting him out for the next body and he’s excited despite the circumstances and time lost bc he gets to be close to his stupid husband who he knows so well and not at all and he’s telling robert all this while robert experiences the funniest range of indescribable human emotion, literally what’s not to love!
aaron wanting a night in with robert even after that morning and his lockscreen being them and him leaving the pub as soon as rob texted he loves that stupid idiot!!!!

chris coghill doing such a phenomenal job playing kev as toeing the line constantly wrt the power imbalance between him and robert, playing it genuinely soft and sweet when robert is pliant and doting, getting fiercely protective when robert mentions being wronged, basically playing this extremely gendered role of Husband (literally asking him for the sex he’s owed by reiterating this status) and reminding robert subtly that yeah he wouldn’t dare go against him right, not his husband who takes care of him and should be cared for in return, emmerdale always taking a staunchly anti-marriage stance !!!!!!! #myshow
i’m really enjoying the way vic finding out about john is playing out so far, the initial disbelief that he could be the perpetrator bc he’s given her no reason to doubt him and given her the family she’s been craving, doubting robert bc ofc he’s changed since prison and been violent and quick to anger and past all that now seeing that however the situation looks robert could never in a million year fake how he feels about aaron or wish him dead and that being the thing that clinches it is just so good like yeah he can swear on harry’s life and tell her he’s her big brother and that he loves her bc he does but the way he feels about aaron has always transcended everything else.. his crazy stupid love that’s going to save himmm
