Hey folks, PSA that I'll be using the queue feature quite a bit for a little while, but don't worry I'm still very much around ! 😊💜

I need to do this because I realised I would never see the end of my drafts ! See, I rarely reblog posts immediately because I like to add tags and comments, if only for myself. That being said, English is not my first language so I often need to think for a while in order to translate some of my thoughts, which unfortunately takes time. (That is also the reason why I sometimes take a while to reply to posts I'm tagged in.) I swear I am a woman of many words in my native tongue BUT ALSO an anxious perfectionist, therefore the language barrier struggle is so real for me !! 😅

I feel like this way I'll have more time to interact with my beloved mutuals (and maybe create stuff !), so that's a win in my book. 💖

There are two things I'm interested in: first, the taste of whisky in the middle of nature - second, solo camping. I don't feel that good jumping on a bandwagon, but I can't ignore what's on my mind, so I went.

I already had my eyes on a camping site I wanted to visit - it's a place I drove by when I was touring. Rather than a lawn, it's more of a place with trees everywhere. There's a bunch of things I want to do, like fishing or making smoked food, but making a base site comes first. I put up tent and tape for some shade from the sun and shelter from the rain and wind. By the way, I chose a tent with a front porch since I wanted to park my darling bike and enjoy my time regardless of the weather.

After the base's set up, next comes a bonfire. There are lots of ways to start a bonfire, but as they say, 'take the tough road when in distress'. I chose to kindle a fire. With the bow drill method, you use the bow's apparatus to flake the board - its friction will start fire. The process went perfectly due to my prep research, but for some reason it didn't work out.

Fatigue and weakness make way just as you hit a wall. The lighter in my pocket felt awfully heavy... but I can't be cornered into taking the easy way out. I kept trying, and then thin, white smoke went up. I was more impatient than happy when the fire started.

As I looked into the red flame in the dark, I finally noticed that the sun has gone down - I was that engrossed in what I was doing. I sat at the chair and poured some whisky into the crystal glass I especially brought for the occasion. First sip - its rich, mellow aroma fills my nose. I don't need to put my impressions into words, yeah?

This is my first time solo camping, but even saying it was the best is an understatement. I should've done this sooner. What should I take on next... I'm looking forward to it.

Friends help. So imagine you are Carra and you are driving to Manchester (gee I wonder why) and it's raining. Like serious downpour. Being a good driver and not having a death wish you...turn on...those blade thingys that go swish swish swish and battle the rain?? What are those blade thingies called?? Please don't make me write 'and then Carra turned on the blade thingies that went swish swish swish' in the middle of an angsty drabble.

An uncommon esl struggle is stumbling upon an unfamiliar word, being briefly disappointed in yourself for not knowing what it means, looking it up, and then discovering it was actually just a typo made by the author

Re: The suggestion that ava/mailin sl should have been in Ava's season is "nonsensical". Okay then.

What I meant by it is, as a concept it's very solid and deserved it's own space and scope of development. I needed more practical execution of it. I'm not saying they half assed it, but it deserved to be part of the main's arc. It rarely overlapped with Fatou. Hence, had it been Ava's season, it would've gotten the full fledgedness it needed. The yt comments in those clips were so vicious, the druck channel ended up replying to people in defense of Ava. Had we been inside her head for the full run, this would have allowed the storyline to breathe more freely. Not the bullet point version that we got. "Show, don't tell." Isn't that the golden rule?

Also, it's okay to disagree, but saying my take is nonsensical? Seems a bit harsh.

Hi anon! 📻 I’m sorry I hurt your feelings. I was surprised by this message because I didn’t think “nonsensical” was all that harsh (I feel I’m harsher about all sorts of things on the regular tbqh!), so I looked it up on a dictionary to make sure I wasn’t missing any context. It seems like “nonsensical” can mean that something has no meaning or makes no sense, with similar words being illogical or meaningless, but it also has a second meaning that is impractical and ill-advised, and google gives as similar words foolish, insane, stupid, idiotic, etc. 

I meant “nonsensical” as in the first meaning, as in it makes no sense to me to push that storyline to another season, for many reasons. I didn’t realize that I’d come across as calling you or your opinions stupid or anything like that, and I’m sorry I did! I appreciated your ask and was happy to talk about it, so I wouldn’t want you to feel like it was unwelcome.
