Reflections on 2012

I figure I should do something like this since we're entering the last ten minutes of the year, plus it's been a while since I've made a legitimate text post that's longer than three sentences.  This is probably also going to be a bit shorter than I'd like it to be but oh well.

2012 was a year of change and of firsts in a lot of ways.  I (begrudgingly) moved back to New Jersey after spending the semester in Florida, I got two new jobs, one of them even being steady and as permanent as I want it to be, I completed my first cosplay and started work on a bunch of others, I traveled to Boston and met Mel and Brittany in person for the first time and got to cosplay with them at long last, I made so many new friends, read so many new and great books, heard so much new and great music, and my family is getting back to normal.  All in all, I suppose it's been pretty great after all.

I'm thankful for all of the experiences and all of the people I had in my life this past year, and I can only hope that everything I have planned for 2013 will be just as amazing.  Getting to spend time with far-away friends, traveling to new places, more cosplays and cons, getting even further in school, and so many other things are in my future and I can't wait.

Happy new year, tumblr.  Let's make 2013 count.
