they'd be in unspoken understanding that there's a time and a place, but despite it all, I do think Lup and her loved ones eventually wind up joking about the whole disappearance ordeal (much like how Lup herself jokes to Lucretia about the memory wipe).

Kravitz asks Barry where Lup is one morning, and Barry's like "aw, shucks, I've got no damn clue, so I guess I've gotta go hole myself up in a necromancy cave about it. and do a lot more death crimes. sorry, bud, but I'm sure you understand" — and Lup, overhearing from the next room over (previously being sneaky because she was trying to steal Taako's snacks from the kitchen), just bursts out laughing. initially, just because it's her sense of humor, but she keeps laughing because she's just so glad that she can laugh at it.
