How do you feel about Nihil? I like him a lot even though he was a shit father.

Ok this took a while to answer because my thoughts about Nihil are sorta mixed.

Obviously I LOVE Seven Inches, etc., I like his look with the long hair, but I just can’t view him in a sexual way.

He’s much more like a father-in-law to me because, well, since I’m interested in his sons, that’s what he would be.

Since I picture myself hanging out with the Emeritus brothers all the time, no doubt some unfavourable stories would come up about Nihil, so I do resent any pain that he might have caused the boys due to him being kind of a shitty or emotionally-absent dad and potentially making quips about his sons (especially maybe Copia since he didn’t even know he’s his son)

He can be endearing, I have to admit it was cute the way he said “I’m starving” with that little nod in Chapter 11 lol. But in certain moments I’d see myself having to step in and defend Copia. For example, when he called Copia’s car a piece of shit?? I’d be like um NO I actually love his car, don’t talk to him like that

Or the times when he brought up Copia not winning any Grammies or basically any stuff like that which he probably did a lot.

It’s like when your friend gets yelled at by their parents, you’re obviously going to console your friend and be on their side about the situation.

Especially because the Emeritus brothers honestly try their best, and Nihil was probably still making quips about them. And those quips can cut deep sometimes! (This is just speculation, but Nihil just seems like that type. And we’ve seen the way he does that to Copia so he probably did it to the other boys too.)

In conclusion, I can definitely see him as my father-in-law who likes to give me obscure old person candies lol but I also wouldn’t be afraid to defend his sons, and I think he would respect me for that

Anyone who continues to claim they want to send people to the mental hospital for different headcanons, want to perpetuate physical violence on people for different headcanons, and want people to kill themselves over fanfiction is no ally to disabled people. Just like insisting on calling people racial slurs doesn't make you an ally to people of color.

Fictional characters are not real people, but the people you want to perpetuate ableist violence on are. Don't fucking dare excuse that on "fighting the antis" or whatever. Tell me a little about your Clergy headcanons. Like what kind of satanism they practise, the hierarchy, the project itself. Gimme gimme gimme.

I’m SO happy you asked this because I have a super clear image of how I imagine this sort of thing to be at the ministry:

As for the religion itself, theistic satanism ALL THE WAY.

At the ministry, they actually worship Lucifer. It’s not symbolic at all, they actually worship him as their god and do rituals and everything of the sort.

Basically, I always imagine religion at the ministry to be just like Catholicism except instead of praying to God, they’re praying to Satan instead. So all the prayers are reversed, mass is the same except everything is unholy, etc. and ofc Halloween is the most important day of the year lol

Similar to how Catholicism has certain times of year like Lent, I picture the ministry to have things like that too. Certain times for certain rituals, etc. I even picture them having a time of year similar to Lent where church members participate in solemn prayer, hard work, and giving something up to show respect for Satan! (Although it would probably be much shorter than 40 days lol.) Because although sin is encouraged, it’s still a religion, and I always picture that there are still rules. Because that makes it more structured and fun! There are things to do, and for newcomers there are many things to learn.

As for the hierarchy, there’s the papal line and then there’s the clerical line. The papal line obviously consists of the Emeritus bloodline, and then the Clergy consists of dark priests, bishops, cardinals, etc. Obviously this would have included Copia when he was still Cardinal because no one knows he’s Nihil’s son.

The Clergy is second in command to the Papacy. As you can see, once Nihil died and he didn’t have any heirs left, Copia fronted the band because he was next in line, and he had been Nihil’s right hand man. Being a Cardinal, he held the highest rank in the Clergy and he also had the second most employee of the month awards. So his own accolades plus Sister Imperator advocating for him is why he was chosen to front the band and then he eventually became Papa as we all know.

So basically the second-in-command is someone who holds the highest clerical rank (cardinal) but because there isn’t just one cardinal in the Clergy, the best cardinal with the most accolades gets chosen. The best of the best, basically.

As for the Papas, I think they’re raised to be Papas. I know there’s some talk about Cardinal Terzo which I do love!! But idk I kind of picture Primo, Secondo, and Terzo to have been raised for fulfilling the role of Papa.

As for the project itself, it’s pretty clear that Sister Imperator is running the show! She’s definitely making the big decisions and taking care of things in the background! However, if a Papa really wanted to stand up and use his authority to get something done, he could probably do it.

(Now I’m just picturing Terzo demanding that the ministry gets a ball pit and he completely overrides Sister Imperator’s wishes against it 💀)

I'm going to encourage everyone in the phandom again to block esmiephan. She continues to harass people in the phandom who haven't blocked her over their opinions of fictional characters and continues to use ableist language to refer to people who have opinions on fiction she doesn't agree with. I believe she will continue to do so to anyone who hasn't blocked her for as long as they don't block her. Recently, she has also escalated to suicide-baiting over what people write in fanfic.

So, what's your opinion about Sister Imperator (canonically speaking)? Do you think she is an evil manipulative bitch like some other fans or that she is a loving mother that is being misunderstood? And also, how would you like to write her in your fanfictions (despiting the canon)?

I personally think she is manipulative and overprotective, but not evil in anyway. I do believe she loves her son.

I believe she wants the best for Copia! I do think she’s manipulative, but I don’t really see her wanting to harm Copia in any way. I think she sort of manipulates everyone else for his benefit maybe. Like how she kept mentioning Copia fronting the band despite Nihil’s protests. She obviously wants him to excel.

Imperator has sort of a ‘mommy knows best’ personality, and she doesn’t have a lot of patience for incompetence.

I wrote her into tcac at the beginning, I believe it was chapter 2? And I might write her into more chapters in the future! Basically the way I write her is to have a sort of all-business air about her, but there’s also a softness there too. She cares about the ministry and the Siblings of Sin in the abbey, kind of like a mother hen. But she’s also quite disciplined too, so she has zero tolerance for slacking off!

She has a great fondness for Reader, especially because she recognizes Reader to have a sharp mind. She admires that quality a lot.

When she gives Reader a task, whether it be chores or something of a higher importance, she knows she can trust that Reader will do it precisely. Imperator admires Reader’s wit, and how multi-faceted she is. For example, the way Reader can playfully wrangle with chaotic Terzo, the way she’s excelled in Latin studies and has gained the respect of Secondo, and the way she never shies away from helping Primo with things like his garden.

And Imperator also likes the way Reader is including Copia in activities! She noticed the way Copia has been shunned by the other siblings, and she’s grateful for Reader showing him kindness and making him feel included. Otherwise he’d spend all his time cooped up in his office all alone <3
