Could you find/make a strabismus pride flag? "Strabismus is a condition in which the eyes do not properly align with each other when looking at an object." from wikipedia
Strabismus Pride Flag
Strabismus is a condition in which the eyes do not properly align with each other when looking at an object. Types include esotropia, where the eyes are crossed, exotropia, where the eyes diverge and hypertropia or hypotropia where they are vertically misaligned.
Flag signification:
Light cyan: diversity and types of strabismus
Grey/black: fighting against ableism
Cyan background: community and pride
Flag designed by @themogaidragon.
Hey! It’s a condition okay
I finally have a stick on prism to help my strabismus! It's really weird though, because it makes everything blurry through that eye and it makes everything look a little wonky, but it does help. If it continues helping I can get them built into my glasses so they're not as blurry.
Also apparently the esotropia got worse because my eyes just decided "screw this" and got tired of correcting it because it was too much work, which. Mood
She's referring me to a strabismologist to discuss surgery, because I'm leery about the idea of someone operating on my eye and wanted to actually talk about it with someone first.
She also confirmed once again that vision therapy wouldn't help and also that the bifocals that optometrist gave me are doing nothing because I don't have convergence insufficiency. So I think that optometrist just kept trying to treat me as though I had convergence insufficiency because that's what she was familiar with, even though that isn't the issue I actually have.

I have intermittent strabismus - esotropia. It causes my eyes to cross and it’s a big problem. My depth perception is terrible and I’m in a lot of pain in my eyes. I also can’t focus on things.
When my eyes started to do this again, I looked at all the online glasses retailers I could find and they all told me they do not make the kind of lens I would need (high diopter prism progressive). I was estimated to spend about $400-600 on glasses, but I can’t afford that. I am a college student and I need to buy books, and I also need a car...
Please, I’d be grateful for anything even a reblog. Thanks so much!

On the left I’m looking forward, in the middle I’m looking right (and down). On the right I’m covering an eye to prevent seeing double.
