Thanks to @comebacknow and her Glader Cup, I ended up unexpectedly trying out some new mediums. I've never made edits/moodboards/any visual art before and I was nervous to give it a go, but I felt really inspired because I wanted to make something, that first day, for sonyarriet.
I found myself thinking a lot about them in tdc and after tdc; about what Sonya endured at wckd, about everything they've both been through and all they've lost; about Harriet's desperation to find Sonya (and Aris) and bring her somewhere safe. About all of the shadows that would haunt them, that wouldn't go away just because they finally found safe harbour.
But I was also really struck by their smiles in those final tdc scenes, together at least and at their Safe Haven, and about the promise of a new life unrolling before them, one that allowed them to breathe again, to quietly exist, side by side, to find those moments of peace together.
I tried to capture both aspects of their experience in this first attempt at an edit/moodboard. It was a fun new experiment, one that really inspired me to try making more, so I'm sharing it even though it scares me to do so 🙈
Thank you to Bia for inspiring me to try new things (and in general for a brilliant, creative event) and to Bia, @persnickett and @seaselkie for being so supportive and for encouraging me to share my work 🥺💜♥️❤️
