no stop im getting emotional over izzy letting ed take toes not even out of fear of ed but because he’s like this is all i can do to make him feel better. he wants a toe? he gets a toe.

izzy obviously is aware eds reasoning for the toe is bullshit and is actively trying to get izzy to finally stand up for himself.

but eds not saying it.

and izzy isn't going to stand up to him.

if he doesn't have edward he doesnt have anybody.

until the crew steps in and tells him he has them

then its too much

then its for no reason

then its not understandable sacrifices in service of his captain

its something that even the other pirates agree isnt acceptable and izzy crumples

he wonders about how ed feels about him

hes still worried and wants to help bc he knows ed’s hurting

he would let him take the next toe but he doesn’t think that will help anymore

as excited as I am for season two, I’m really not looking forward to the inevitable moment when something is put into the actual canon that contradicts the in-depth lore I now have for so many of these characters.
