Part two of my essential custom content for weddings is here! I have a whole folder for weddings in my game that I add back every time I have weddings so it finally came in handy to share my favorites!
In this post, I'll be sharing the big wedding collections and build/buy items that I use for weddings.
Rustic Romance Stuff for Sims 4 by @plumbobteasociety
This set has not been updated in years but it has held up so well. I think the new game pack definitely got inspiration from a lot of the items in this fan-made stuff pack.
It has beautiful items to decorate the perfect garden party. The outfits in this game are amazing, I've used this pack multiple times in different saves. This also came with a few in-game poses that I have yet to try.
Also check out their Cottage Garden Stuff for pretty hairs with floral accents!
Happily Ever After Pack by @maxsus
This is a free stuff pack by one of my favorite CC creators! It comes in a lot of fun colors that can be used for garden and even weddings in ballrooms! There's even a cool trailer to show off the items!

Technically not a wedding specific pack but the items in this pack are perfect for a garden themed-wedding.

Shop Chef Buffet - These buffet inserts can be placed in any countertop and spawn a literal buffet or freshly prepared, multi-serving potions of food for your simmies to eat!
Upright Piano by @illogicalsims - Again not really wedding specific, but sometimes we just need a small piano for smaller venues.

Wedding Cakes
One of the biggest additions in the pack are the wedding cakes. We do have a lot of cakes in the game that you can use as a wedding cake. Here are some nice CC food:
Base Game Food Retexture by Utopia Sims - gives better quality to the base game food. It makes all of the in-game food look edible palatable.

TS2 Essential Mods
These are my essential mods/programs for The Sims 2! You can find the rest of my mod list here. ʕ♡˙ᴥ˙♡ʔ
Mootilda’s Hood Checker ─ A necessary tool used to check for corruption in your neighborhoods.
Hack Conflict Detection Utility (HCDU) Plus ─ Another necessary tool that finds hack conflicts in your game. Updated to HCDU Plus by whoward because it is able to find many more conflicts. Also recommended: SiMidge.
SimPE ─ Number one essential tool/program that allows you to view package files, tune/create mods, edit ages/names/etc. download version 0.75.69.
Lazy Duchess’ RPC Launcher ─ A custom launcher with added features and fixes. Includes a Discord Rich Presence, First Born Syndrome Fix, Borderless, and Better Live Mode Camera. Can’t live without this!
What Caused This? ─ Reads the object error log file, extracts some information from it and then looks in every mod in your Downloads folder to see if it can identify the suspect mod(s).
Object Relocator ─ A utility for moving Buy Mode objects around in the catalog en-masse by changing their Room, Function, Sub-Function and Community flags, and also their Price.
Download Organizer ─ I find this incredibly helpful when I need to see my mods/cc organized by date downloaded.
Chris Hatch’s Lot Cleaner ─ Object in buy catalog that cleans a lot of sim references, and removes the Super Duper Hug Bug. Essential if you download/upload lots frequently. Recommended to remove from dl folder when finished as it will automatically clean a lot if you just click on it in the catalog.
Anti-Redundancy ─ Eliminates the spawning of redundant NPCs.
No Death Type Loss ─Sims no longer lose their death type upon moving their tombstone to a community lot. Also, ghosts will now be the correct color from the type of death.
No Corrupt Death ─ Suppresses the corrupt death memory.
No Unlink on Delete ─ Game stops partially destroying sims files when deleting a tombstone.
FFS Lot Debugger ─ Lots of very useful debug options. I use the pretty vase version. :)
No Sim Loaded ─ Eliminates “Sim Loaded” and other tokens when loading up a lot. Also prevents and fixes the Super Duper Hug Bug.
Gussy Up ─ Change, buy, and plan playable and townie Sims clothes.
Soft Shadows 2.0 ─ Turns the blobby outdoor shadows into soft ones, like in the family portrait and indoors. Great for screenshots. *Don’t use if you have dreadpirate’s mm lighting mod.
Simnopke's Sliders ─ 24 face sliders available in CAS, plastic surgery machine, and Bodyshop. The 20 face sliders are here!
Sim Blender ─ Holy Grail management mod. Allows for a host of different options. A serious must have! *updated Mar. 2021 with added 1-3-5 day aging.
Sim Manipulator ─ Similar to Sim Blender but with several more options. You can have one or both, I use them interchangeably.
No Townie Regen ─ Prevents the game from spawning new townies.
Day Setter ─ Sets the day of the week for the current lot. Necessary to keep hoods in sync.
Weather Controller ─ Sets the season and weather on the current lot.
Inge’s Age Group Tweak ─ Custom age length mod. Tutorial on how to tune age span: here. Recommended use with Age Correct.
Smart AgeCorrect ─ This mod corrects the age span length of a hood. Must use with custom lifespans in order to change entire hood’s age span. Remove from downloads after loading a lot and receiving the pop up that the mod worked. Updated to Lazy Duchess' version which does not require taking out the mod.
Auto Save Game ─ A pop up appears that asks if you’d like to save the game.
Lifetime Want Chooser & 50 New LTWs [Experimental] ─ self-explanatory.
Shiftable Everything [TEST] ─ Move any object using [ or ] like in The Sims 4. Still in testing.
Finally, a proper engine-level system for showing holstered weapons on characters, with various customization options.
YES! FINALLY! Someone figured out how to reintroduce holstered weapons in Fallout 4, like in previouis Fallout games! :D No more backpack slot dummy weapons and other complicated systems; all you need is F4SE!
And I can happily confirm that it works amazingly

Hi, I’ve just started playing ts2 and your blog has been really inspiring, unfortunately my computer isn’t the best so I have to limit my cc. I was wondering if you haven’t already could you put together a list of your top 5 most needed/used mods or cc, if it’s not too much a bother thank you

It’squite hard to limit the answer to the top 5 and, to be completely honest, Ianswered a “similar” question a while ago and this post I wroteon MTS might be helpful too (especially if youhaven’t decided yet what to play in terms of hoods) - but, of course, I’ll takein account the fact that your PC is not very powerful! :)
I’lldefinitely skip the lighting mod (as wonderful as it is, the game lagssometimes during the dusk/dawn) and any graphic edits in general - maybe youcould try to use a default terrain anyway? In any case, I advice you to get allthe mods listed in the first post of this topic, since they fix some Maxis annoyances and makealso the game run smoothly :)
Ok, now mytop 5 (random order, eh!):
NoSim Loaded: it’s more a fix but it helps keeping the game/household corruption freeand it cleans some specific errors – it’s also a good fix for the “Super Duper Hug”
CommunitySkilling: for Sims to gain skills point when visiting community lots, outsidecollege where should be a default behaviour
WatchTV from all chairs: this is a must especially if you’re an abuser of theoff-grid placing cheats like me!
PerfectPlants & Gardens: again, a must if you like to decor off-grid, but it makesthe Gardner useless
Macrotastics:I think this is one of the few “cheating” mods I can’t live without, but youneed it – trust me! It allows you to input an action/series of action for theSims (without having to select individual ones), like “do homework”, “Clean”, “repair”and “pay bills” - a dream coming true!
Bonus (Iknow, I’m a cheater, but I’m bad at lists – actually I think this are someessential hacked objects):
Clothingtools to change appearance and clothing of any sims, including NPC and townies!
Batbox:to clean/wipe away corrupted stuff from your sims/lots – suggest you to getshastakiss versions, is much more pretty :D
I guessthat’s all, I’m sorry I ended up listing basically everything but with a gamelike The Sims I think it’s hard to stick to the minimum! I hope you will beable to play and have fun on your computer and, please, drop me an ask or opena chat if you need any more help :)

When it comes to CAS items, it is never too hard to find really good custom content since weddings are a staple. How to Have Better Weddings without the New Game Pack - Part 1
By now, we all know the wedding game pack is broken. So if you're like me who's holding off on purchasing the game pack until it's fixed or until modders find a way to fix the game bugs, here is a list of custom content/mods for better weddings so we can still have our dream weddings in game.
Essential
The base game patch to add a new wedding venue is not available for wedding events, apparently.
Wedding Venue Bugfix by @lotharihoe - also makes the wedding arch required for weddings (because you can't get married without one!)

Gameplay
sitatweddings by bienchen - The most annoying thing about sims is that they don't sit and watch the ceremony. This might be obsolete for those with the new GP and I'm not sure if this will be maintained in the future as well.
Various Seating Fixes/Additions - also another seating fix from Mod The Sims. The updated version is in the comments and should still work for the latest patch.
Longer Parties & More Guests - This mod allows your parties to last up to 24 hours and gives you the ability to invite up to 200 guests. Please note that you can still end parties as early as you like by clicking on the event timer.
Better Community by Kawaii Stacie - This mod is good for making lots more full/diverse and for storytelling. You will be able to spawn more sims on your lots and pick which sims that spawn.
Cute Romance by @thepancake1s-mods - Adds the following interactions: Slow dancing and Dip kiss (used in the photo above)
Have First Dance at Wedding by SHEnanigans - adds a first dance requirement to the base game wedding event.
Resorts & Hotels Mod by Kawaii Stacie - adds resorts and hotels you can use for honeymoons (requires Vintage Glamour for some interactions)
Rambunctious Religions by lumpinou - adds religions to the game, also comes with pre-made lots if you want to get married in a church
Storytelling Socials by @lazarusinashesmods - an expansive mod that adds over 60+ interactions with an emphasis on storytelling.
Storytelling Toolkit by @chippedsims - includes Quick Access for the headlineeffects cheat (a must have for screenshots!)

My Wedding by @caradriel - a really big mod for planning a wedding including new social interactions, legal documents, getting a marriage certificate, and planning a honeymoon.
Arranged Marriages by @mizoreyukii - let's you have arranged marriages, perfect for historical gameplay. I think this mod needs a few updates if you have the new GP, I'll check
Events
Memorable Events Mod by Kawaii Stacie - Adds lots of cute events to the game that are not just wedding focused like:
Bachelor(ette) Party - This event lets your sims have their last night of freedom. Let them party with their friends and don't forget to tip the strippers!
Romantic Date - This event was created so that you can plan out your dates on the calendar!
Honeymoon - This event allows you to go on a honeymoon with your lover! You can invite friends and family! You can hire someone to watch your children if you bring them along, cook your food, and clean up after you.
Housewarming Party - This event lets you have the welcome wagon again except its people you actually know and instead of fruitcake or that island juice they will give you some household items on their way out!
Meet my Partner* - This event lets you meet your bf/gf or spouse...to your friends and family! Everyone will have different reactions to the news!
Moving Out* - This event allows you to break the news about your departure! Not everyone is going to be happy so expect things to get emotional!
Pregnancy Announcement* - This event allows you to announce your pregnancy to friends, family, and even your spouse... if you didn't tell him already.
Romantic Proposal - This event allows you to plan out your proposal! Hopefully, with all this effort you don't get rejected. Oh! You can invite friends and family to witness it if you like.
Love Finder - Tired of creating your sims lover? Tired of going place to place to find one? Here you go! This event lets your sim find love! But, you only have 8 hours to do so.
