Bloom Byte chuckled before leaning down to the level of Anna. She has no ill intent at the moment, just simple curiosity about the child having connections with a government official

She waved kindly before smiling and nodding enthusiastically. she flapped her hands as se recounted the things about herself.

"My name is Anna! I'm thirteen years old! and I'm friends with Jun, Theo, Crest, Vera, Peruru and Soleil..! i think- anyways! i love the colour pink and piano music and i love the taste of cotton candy!"

She was pretty much having fun sharing or...maybe oversharing?

Reading Free Four, I got the impression that Amar faked his death after Tobias's initiation, so in my fanfic Convergent (an Eric/OC fic, since there are other fics with that name), I had it mentioned that Amar faked his death three months before the initiation after Tobias's and a week after Eric was promoted to Dauntless leadership, since I thought that Eric was replacing someone. According to Veronica Roth via Four: The Initiate, Amar faked his death before Tobias finished initiation because Eric (as an initiate) told Jeanine about Amar and Tobias after overhearing an conversation.

I can't go back and change that aspect, because one, it's my established canon and two, I can't see Jeanine telling Eric what his assignment was before he chose Dauntless. Sure, she probably told Eric to rank high in Dauntless initiation to ensure the leadership position and then when he was training for Dauntless leadership, she gave him his assignment of hunting down Divergents, but I seriously doubt that she wanted him to start looking for Divergents as an initiate.
