Forget for a moment that the right thing to do is provide healthcare to people, in the middle of mass unemployment and a pandemic where your healthcare is tied to having a good job ...... forget that for a moment. What about common sense?? Medicare for All has mass approval in the Democratic base, and even polls well with many conservatives.

Why would you not offer that up??

Why is Biden sO vested in keeping a system with greedy insurance companies locked in as middlemen?

Biden himself admitted that even with his job as Vice President of the United States(!) even he had trouble paying for his son’s cancer treatments. So much so that Obama offered to give him a loan. Why on earth would anyone subject others to that?? Especially when it is within your power to change things??

Like the tweet said, this shit is transactional. If I believed for one second that Biden would seriously try to make M4A happen, I would be phonebanking my ass off rn. And making as many donations as I could afford. Just like I did for Sanders in 2016.

It’s not about “loving” Bernie Sanders either. It’s about the policies being offered on the menu.

Biden isn’t offering Medicare for All, he isn’t offering a ban on fracking, he isn’t offering complete student loan forgiveness, he isn’t offering free college, he doesn’t want to stop mass deportations, he doesn’t want to abolish ICE, he doesn’t want to defund the police ... hell, he wants even more money for the police and for the military.

Kids were in cages when he was VPOTUS, and they’re in cages now. But he still won’t abolish ICE??!!

Biden keeps saying he isn’t Trump, and how nothing would fundamentally change if he’s elected. Dafuq??

Like, how the fuck is that shit supposed to galvanize millions of people into going out and voting for him in droves??

Offer nothing, get nothing.

All I’m saying is, is this: The whole, “I’m not Trump” argument has already been tried, and failed.

And it’s not selfishness on my part. My school loans are already paid off. I have decent healthcare. But I have tons of friends and family who don’t. These social programs would literally change their lives. For the better.

But Biden is insistent on being the status quo candidate. And I think it will cost not only him, but unfortunately millions of people who need some fucking help right now. Not incrementally over the next few decades. NOW muthafucka.

JOE BIDEN helped pave the way for insurance companies to profiteer from Coronavirus.

Gilead Sciences, a drugmaker known for price gouging, has been working with Chinese health authorities to see if the experimental drug remdesivir can treat coronavirus symptoms. World Health Organization officials say it’s the “only one drug right now that we think may have real efficacy.” But remdesivir, which was previously tested to treat Ebola virus, was developed through research conducted at the University of Alabama at Birmingham with funding from the federal government.

That’s how much of the pharmaceutical industry’s research and development is funded. The public puts in the money, and private companies keep whatever profits they can command. But it wasn’t always that way. Before 1995, drug companies were required to sell drugs funded with public money at a reasonable price. Under the Clinton administration, that changed.

In the 1994 midterms, the Republican Revolution, built largely around a reaction to Bill Clinton’s attempt to reform the health care system, swept Democrats out of Congress. On its heels, in April 1995, the Clinton administration capitulated to pharmaceutical industry pressure and rescinded the longstanding “reasonable pricing” rule.

“An extensive review of this matter over the past year indicated that the pricing clause has driven industry away from potentially beneficial scientific collaborations with [Public Health Service] scientists without providing an offsetting benefit to the public,” the National Institutes of Health said in a 1995 statement announcing the change. “Eliminating the clause will promote research that can enhance the health of the American people.”

The move was controversial, and a House member from Vermont, independent Bernie Sanders, offered an amendment to reinstate the rule. It failed on a largely party-line vote, 242-180.

Then in 2000, Sanders authored and passed a bipartisan amendment in the House to reimpose the “reasonable pricing” rule. In the Senate, a similar measure was pushed by the late Paul Wellstone of Minnesota.

“Many in Congress find it hard to argue with Sanders’ line that ‘Americans must pay twice for life-saving drugs, first as taxpayers to develop the drug and then as consumers to pad pharmaceutical profits,’” Nature wrote at the time.

Then Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware voted to table Wellstone’s amendment, and it was defeated 56-39.

Mis Match Mess

So I think I'm good.. Everything is alright.. Took my baby girl to the skating rink, she hated it... I loved it.. I miss skating so much. So we left.. cause she hated it and I wasn't gonna be the fat dinosaur on skates.. I bought some for me awhile back and a pair for her.. but after I got them I was scared cause I had just recovered after nearly two years of having a broken tail bone and I messed up my knee... and so I was like uhhhh... maybe just wait. So we go to see Joe.. and driving there I felt this sadness... in my tummy... up to about my boobs... intense sadness.. and I told myself I was just sad that Annabelle doesn't like to skate... but I don't like minecraft.. I stand there like a dud.. so.. we don't like everything the same.. So I get there and everyone is happy to see me, of course.. and there's a bunch of workers and security has been hired for the summer now.. I think it's early, they didn't hire security so early last year... or maybe they did.. I was real sick last March and stayed home.. Couldn't do much... Too tired to go to the doctor after I got off work.. Just exhausted.  I have to work, you know... So.. IDK.. I get there and there's no sadness.. it had went away.. but driving there... it was like.. how I used to feel.. when I first started remembering him... except then, I would feel the sadness in my stomach and then my heart would hurt and I would be in intense pain which would make me shake cause it was so scary... and I would take a deep breath, get outta my ride and be just fine in front of everyone else. So I was talking to him and C and then... he walked away.. and he does that.. I was trying to talk to them both and include them both but C does alot of talking and asks alot of questions and really likes my attention so.. I talk to her. She's really sweet and I can tell that she's not happy and she tries really hard... and she's so caring that she takes alot of brunt...  She would let Jordan drive down to my house in her car... because Joe would tell him to and then he would pay them like $100 just to drive by when I could see them... you know, once I started remembering... I remember Jordan one time.. he was standing there and all of a sudden he said "Calysta's car is so awesome and fun to drive" and I just stood there... He was excited, seemed to be.. and Joe's face lit up and everyones face lit up cause why not? And then I didn't say anything and he was all "do you know? Do you know?" to me.. and I said "Know what?" Joe got upset and walked away, "Just forget it" And Jordan told him no.. but I was standing there, having no clue as I was amnesia... I remember that today.. but I remember them driving by me when I started to remember.. and I remember when I started to remember, my cars started to break down... And now I remember seeing Jordan in her ride on 66.. but I didn't know him.. I waved and smiled because he did. And I was in a good mood.  And when I Saw him and had started remembering it took me awhile to be sure it was him because he looks different when he drives.  I guess some tint on the windshield or something... It's weird cause now I remember and they don't say much.. they don't try to get to me remember and they act like they don't know anything or that I remember although I know they know. I guess he's going to try to contact me on Craig's List again.. I brought up that C should try to find some rollarblades on there and he seemed like he was saying that he would post again.. but I'm not into looking.. I just.. I just don't care.. I just don't want it to be that way. But so we were talking and he kept walking away.. then he comes and starts talking shit about some customers.. so that Calysta would walk away to see what he was talking about because its her job to.. and then he would be all smiling at me because he was alone with me... but any time he's there and he walks away.. It's like.. well okay.. you can't join in the conversation? So then I don't want to talk to him after he does that to her.. She didn't do anything.. she was being nice and talking and being herself. She's a sweet kid and that's all she is, is a kid.  I just don't understand the attitude.. He does it with Melissa, too.  Everyone.. unless its a guy.. but if it is, then he will tell us to talk and he will be right back.. but a girl, he just walks away.. it's rude. 4th of July they had this guy across the street that got shot, my cousin told me about it and so when I went up and saw him next, he said I didn't know about it and he was going to tell me.. I told him actually I did, she had told me.. before I was able to tell him that I wanted to hear his perspective and know how he felt and how everyone was effected, he stormed to the door, swung it open and went in.  The girls looked at me apologetically and then talked to me to make it easier, small talk like it just didnt happen. Ironically, Robby had just found me online on the 3rd of July. Then that happened.. i saw it later as a sign of something..  And now C says her transmission is messed up and she paid $1400 to fix it and its still broken and she took it back under warranty but they couldnt' find what was wrong with it. Did Joe tell her to lie? She's his pet.. maybe? IDK.. but I know my cars were breaking all kinds when I would go up to see Joe.. IDK.. its a weird thing.. And my car was smelling funny tonight when I was going.  I remember because one time I wasn't going and it broke like messed up bad.. and I Drove it to my parents and went in the Tahoe shopping.. It was fine later tho.. my convertible broke down in the parking lot after he painted the interior of the dining area the exterior trim color of my house. I mean.. I just don't know..  He was nice while we were there tonight.. I was going to show him video of Annabelle driving and I gave the phone to C because he was away and he didn't go over to look too..  And then he was teasing Annabelle later about it.. I thought to show it to him but I had already tried to show it to them both but he refused.. and I just.. didn't want to.. he.. I wasn't hurt.. just.. I guess I just don't care.. he doesn't seem to care about me.. so why would I care to offer again?  But he told her that if she saw a cop while driving then to drive faster, it was funny.. and he was being all entertaining..   He was happy she was playing the new game and she said she liked it. We bought him a souvenir, but we didn't plan to go so we didn't have it... IDK.. I just don't get it.. like.. he does so much.. but then.. when he has a chance he does nothing... IDK... I don't think he intends to be rude but he is.. and everyone knows about me there.. I got mad really mad in the summer because they all tried to help me remember when I couldn't.. and when they knew I could.. they said nothing.. Why.. Why would they do that?  I was really mad cause.. they knew there was something wrong with me and they knew that I didn't know.. and they tried the best they could when I went up to help me remember and it was fun.. it was.. they were funny and it was always a nice time..  But why couldn't they bring a doctor and say, Sabrina, you're not okay, you were raped and this is what happened and now you don't remember and we want to help you.  Why didn't they help me put Michael in jail? I don't think they care about me at all.  I think C does and M but not the guys.. I really don't.. I think they care about.. Joe.. more than me.. and Joe doesn't really care about me. He wants to impress me and flaunt things and stuff like that.. but.. I just don't get it.. maybe he does care.. but.. its not like..  I think he wants too much from me.. I've always felt that.. but also I had amnesia and he wanted me to remember and it was impossible for me to. So I thought for awhile it was that.. and I felt bad.. it made me sad..  But after looking at it..  How could care more about me than himself? I mean.. How could he care about me at all? I often think that he was my mom's wish.. we wish things for our kids when we are pregnant and usually they can happen.. My mom.. with money.. of course she would want me with a town home boy that's rich..  I think that because pretty much anything to do with me and relationships are shitty when it comes to my mom. If I have a relationship she knows nothing about, its fantastic.. and then when she gets involved.. It's just not good. Some things have come about my mom that are just insane.. things she's done to guys... I didn't date in high school... and none of my friends came to the house.. when I dated in younger grades, the guys never went to the house.. I had my girlfriends over.. but in high school... I never had anyone over but Steph.. It was just easier.. and I didn't like the cowlick boys at podunk high.  I didn't want to go there and so I stayed away from all the boys.. and alot asked me out.. nice guys.. one is a lawyer with his own firm.. and after my car wreck he was all about me.. but.. he was about himself.. and I told him to fuck off.  I'm just not into people.. I needed help.. I was sad I caused a car accident.. and I was bruised up and my ex was mean to me and I lost my car I just paid a shit load of money into.. my bestie was out of town.. I was alone and down.. real down.. and he cheered me up.. but.. when someone asks you for topless photos and then your like excuse me? and they're rude about it.. its like.. uhm.. sorry? I don't want to talk to you because I think that you would hit a prostitute because you can't get your dick up. But I just don't get Joe.. Yeah.. avoiding the pink elephant that has purple polka dots and a tree growing out their head is the thing to do, alot of times.. but.. I mean really?  You know someone is sick and needs help and you.. try to force them to remember without telling them the truth? He finally did say something that I understood.. years later when I had taken my exhusband down.. But at the same time, he didn't tell me. And he made me scared.. Because he knew something I didn't know an he wouldn't tell me. I remember that.. I was terrified. And he said I looked scared but he would take care of things.. But.. he didn't and he hasn't. I guess that's why I felt so much sadness driving there. I like him.. he doubles my points, we play free golf and he makes my pizza with love. But. I guess all in all, he's revengeful and juvenile. It's one thing to be revengeful on someone who hurts others.. but.. to be angry at someone who does nothing wrong... it's wrong.

I feel safe there. I feel like its a home.. But.. he just doesn't treat me right. Or anyone that I see, really..  I remember him yelling at me once.. all red eyed.. and Josh had to tell him to stop or I wouldn't go back.  I told him that I wasn't in love with him, never was and never would be. I tried to be.. I tried to forgive his faults and be in love.. but.. I just couldn't.. It.. wasn't right. I still love him.. and I'll hug him and kiss his cheek but.. its not... something I want. My ex, I would push down a flight of stairs before anything.. but...  I truly care about Joe.. but.. I think that its possible I would care too much about him and he wouldn't care enough about me..  Maybe he just doesn't care about himself and that is what he shows me... But I know from experience that you can't care about people who don't care about themselves. And also you can't care about people who don't care about you---you can.. its like amnesia.. its one sided..

I didn't even want to go out tonight.. I just wanted to go home.. but.. my kid wanted to.. and so I went.. and now my heart hurts.. and I need to go to sleep.  I need to put gas in my car and Alex is going to be mad he didn't come down this weekend.. he was telling me about his new bacon pillow that smells like bacon.. and then on the way to Abq, I saw two pillows on the freeway. I thought about him as we left my parents and though to call him but she had a flyer for a thing from her school and she wanted to go and it was tonight and it was too late for him to go. And also on the way home, I saw two cars broken down on the freeway. I didn't need his anger today.. No one ever does.

Oh and when I went to check in.. it was a long way down.. and on top was Hooters. I like owls.. and I like boobs.. but.. wtf?
