What does the m/m mean on the boarding pass that you posted the other day? I hope you are doing well.
Thanks for the good wishes! They’re always welcome.
As for what the airline meant by M/M? I have absolutely no damn idea.
It’s possible I’ll be flying somewhere with Swiss over the course of the summer (Zürich’s a good airport to hub through: that’s one of the reasons I use it so often). So if I am, I’ll ask the gate staff about it. Seems likely enough that they’ll tell me. 😄
ETA: I just did what I should have done initially (please don’t blame me as I haven’t even had my tea yet and the brains haven’t yet spun up to speed…) and Googled around a bit to see what I could find. After coming across this thread (which is a bit superannuated but still seems to be relevant) it looks like “M/M” is a reference to the Miles & More flight mileage program, of which I’ve been a member for a long time.
Once (IIRC) it was Swiss’s own independent program before they joined up with Lufthansa, and then with other airlines, to become the Star Alliance group. The people in the thread seems to be discussing something related to their boarding passes showing (or not showing) their higher-level mileage status that could (or would) make them eligible for upgrades.
Normally this wouldn’t be an issue for me, since I haven’t flown out that way enough in recent years, or flown on any other Star Alliance carriers besides Swiss, to accrue any significant mileage. But who knows: in the next few years, if some on-the-horizon business stuff starts to happen for me, this may change. We’ll see…
tragic that we’ll never get this again 💔

I have too many different workspaces for just one PPE reminder to suffice.
So clearly lino carving was the only solution.
