This is an emerald tree boa enclosure at Cameron Park Zoo (source). It’s a little impractical for an everyday keeper, but it’s too neat not to share.

does denty kiln trigger itself on etb?

simple question: does it?

denry's trigger doesnt say another, so itll see itself entering and try to trigger. we then have the intervening if clause. ... but luckily it entering was replaced with it entering with a counter, so its if clause holds and it will trigger.

if we have it enter with a first strike or a vigilance counter then double it, nothing very interesting happens. but if it enters with a +1 counter then itll trigger itself to put another +1 counter on itself - and if you have any instant speed shenanigans to put any counters on it, then those counters will also be doubled.
