A thing I wish we'd seen more of in Bleach was what a hilarious affront to nature it was for Aizen to make his arrancar at all. Like, he went out into the empty desert, picked up some rocks and shit, and scooped up whatever critters scuttled out, then made them wear clothes and sit in chairs and drink tea in this little gotei13-knockoff dollhouse he made for them. These near literal animals, categorically defined by their being driven by unchecked negative emotion, hunger, and instinct, and he forced them to abide by his crude little simulacra of (soul)society.

Like they should all fucking h a t e it, not just as a personal affront based on their personalities vibing with law and order and civility or not, but as like a deep spiritual injustice put upon them.
