I'm always going to be grateful for Syed Masood’s storyline and Johnny Carter's coming out storyline on Eastenders. Syed made me realise that a man can like a man so a woman could love a woman. I will always remember Syed as being the first canon gay character I saw on TV. Johnny's storyline was there when I really needed it. I was really confused about my sexuality when this storyline was announced. I remember seeing a character going to Pride. I never have seen anything like that before. I'm forever thankful for those two.
