The Eleventh International Competition for The Erik Bruhn Prize: Corps de Ballet members Ethan Watts and Hannah Fischer represent The National Ballet of Canada at The Eleventh International Competition for The Erik Bruhn Prize tonight. Named after Erik Bruhn, one of the greatest male dancers of the 20th century, the competition is a chance to see the future stars of ballet in one thrilling night. Studio Life: Corps de Ballet members Ethan Watts and Hannah Fischer rehearse in preparation for The Eleventh International Competition for The Erik Bruhn Prize. This year’s competitors hail from Boston Ballet, The Hamburg Ballet, The Royal Danish Ballet, San Francisco Ballet and, of course, The National Ballet of Canada.

Ethan Watts was born in San Francisco, California and trained at the San Francisco Ballet School and at The Academy of Ballet San Francisco in California. Mr. Watts joined The National Ballet of Canada as a RBC Apprentice in 2013 and became a member of the Corps de Ballet in 2014.
