🌌 Ethereal Route Madness I — Part of 🌟 Ethereal Route Madness

Had a somewhat bizarre and self indulgent Ethereal Route thought cross my mind the other day as well. I'm still trying to process it.

(And I warn that this is pretty wild and self indulgent, so please have mercy and not the Ten Piedad kind!)

So... Ethereal Route. Not only is Kuja revived all phoenix style, back in action with a sprinkling of Etherealism, but with room for new ambitions. He's alive and no longer trying to stay alive. Now what?

And while this is a fear that Sal looks in the eyes nearly every day and is part of what she dreads the most about what she's inadvertently and accidentally done with Kuja, it is something interesting to ponder!

I believe a go-to for Kuja is clearly to rebuild himself in regards to power, possessions and presence - it's something that begins post-FFIX (if he isn't doomed to die right then and there at the end of FFIX) and may end up dying in the process of, depending on how soon he expires in post-FFIX. Trying to figure out how to stay alive comes first, after all. There is still work to be done that may have been placed on the back burner then.

This is where things start to get a little crazy...

There was another think that was thunk, however, and that think was: trying to rebuild Terra. "Trying" being the keyword here. (Also, this only suits a Ku that expresses regrets towards leveling Terra in a fit of rage. In the end, mine does.)

He destroyed either everything that remained of it (and this idea is rendered null) or he destroyed nearly everything... and contemplates salvaging what remains to attempt recreating it. Not unlike Garland, in ways... little dose of the ol' "like father, like son" idea, despite the resentment that still lingers - Kuja would insist that if it can indeed be done, it can be done better by him.

And this is where they get really crazy...

If Sal's Etherealism was able to "fix" him... (At a price he does not fully realize yet.) Could it also "fix" Terra's crystal? (At a price Sal fears even more.)

By some ghost of a chance, is it once again possible? So much of Terra is essentially gone, save for its Genomes and remaining artifacts - however, whatever life may remain within one of its now pitiful shards... if basked in Ethereal radiance that would not consume it, but instead resonate with it... could it be done?

Maybe.
