“Regret is something you've got to just live with, you can't drink it away. You can't run away from it. You can't trick yourself out of it. You've just got to own it.”
- Anthony Bourdain

Braids. Andrew Wyeth - 1977.
Sunset over a forest lake by Peder Mørk Mønsted
Winter birch tree in the style of Abstract Realism~🎨
This is my first serious attempt at Abstract Realism, where you're supposed to blend recognizable imagery with abstract elements. I'll probably add one or two more layers of paint to this before it's done.
The gold paint here is hard to see in this photograph, but that texture was partly achieved by adding beeswax to the gold paint.
This is oil paint on canvas stretched over a wooden frame. The dimensions are about 24x32 inches.
