May I ask you how did you mix different animals so smoothy? Any advices how to do it?

I almost never start with animal x + animal y. I start with and idea of what sort of animal I want to create, what ecological niche they fill or what I want them to be for the story/world. I usually pick one species to be the "base" and then I start adding other features and modifying them as I go, trying to pick out things that are not too similar to the base. However I also add features that aren't species specific, I don't look up real life references for every part. Then I just go through some basic questions like "what does it eat" "how does it hunt or defend itself" "where does it live", you know what adaptions it has to its environment and way of living and then add features to answer those questions. Some knowledge of anatomy helps to blend it all together.

No need to apologise—and thank you for clarifying! I admit I was a little confused by your first inquiry, but I see your meaning now. In answer to your question, many Cybertronians across the multiverse have singular optics! These 'bots typically have multi-lensed visual receptors, no less keen that the binocular configurations used by the majority. With empurata, on the other hand, one optic is typically removed, while the other is crudely rewired, resulting in limited visual acuity. Of course, this disabling effect is considered secondary to the humiliation this barbaric ritual inflicts.

As to why so many versions of Shockwave have only one eye... this is simply another example of trans-dimensional harmonic resonance. Is it that 'bots called Shockwave are more likely to have monocular vision, or is it that bots with monocular vision are more likely to be named Shockwave? An interesting question, to be sure!
