movie vampires are such a joke. they’re always flush with cash and living in palatial homes. on second thought, maybe it’s not so absurd because maybe they do the smart thing and save money. sam’s never made more than he’s needed to get by and doesn’t even have a savings account.

it’s why he’s still a dealer, and, still, a junkie at heart. his trackmarks have long since faded but sometimes he still finds that human desire for another hit and it’s frustrating when you can’t get high anymore.

regardless, he’s here to do the deal and check the girl out. the hunger is beginning to grow and he could use a quick feed. he recognizes her from the description she gave him in the text and does a quick up and down assessment of her before saying, “ alister, right?”

Gabriel had gone to the club on a few previous occasions; to scope it out. He knew the O’Malleys had laid claim on it some years back and he even had an insider with close ties to Seamus’ son Patty: Alister. She was a dancer at the club but she had earned her way to the top as Patty’s girl and favorite dancer. If Patty was around- so was Alister.

In exchange for leiniancy on some lesser drug charges, Alister agreed to play super sleuth for the department- as long as Gabriel could protect her when things got hairy. So far nothing interesting aside from some turf wars had transpired within Patty’s inner circle, or rather, the inner circle Alister was a part of. She was still just a dancer and Patty hadn’t taken her into his life quite as fully as the department had hoped; not yet anyway.

The detective was undercover as a mere patron of the club and sometimes he would go to private rooms with Alister to talk where there were no cameras and sometimes they would talk during dances. It always made Gabriel nervous because Alister was a rather attractive woman and he had to keep reminding himself he was on business not pleasure. Tonight was no different, he grabbed a drink and settled into a booth to watch the show and keep an eye out for Patty, his goons, and Alister.
