R - Which friendship/platonic relationship is your favorite in fandom?
In She-Ra, I really love platonic Glimmer and Bow. The fact that I like the platonic version so much meant I didn’t enjoy the romantic overtones that appeared towards the end of the show, plus it clashes a bit with my sexuality headcanons for them both. I really love good friendships in fiction, that’s usually what gets me in the heart rather than romance. I quite like the idea of Glimmer and Bow being queer platonic partners.
T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending?
Catra experiences rejection sensitive dysphoria. Both criticism and rejection (actual or perceived) by others and failing to live up to her own high standards (in terms of achievement but on a deeper level in terms of who she really is as a person) cause her extreme emotional pain.
Yes, this probably involves some projecting on my part! But I think it makes a lot of sense. As does the associated headcanon that she has ADHD, imo.
(It’s not a hard and fast headcanon of mine, but while we’re talking neurodiversity: I also think the idea of autistic Adora has a lot going for it.)
