TW: cheating, dubious consent (i do not condone cheating, this is a little ethical cheating to get my main pairing together.)
thinking about older omega shane who got married young and has been with his husband for a while, they decided to wait until they retire, before they talk about having kids maybe shane is still a hockey player and his husband does something idgaf
so they finally retire and begin the process of getting pregnant, shane goes off his birth control and stops taking suppressants goes in for check ups and all the works and for a while everything seems great they fuck almost everyday of they have the time and it becomes apparent that shane can’t get pregnant for some reason.
so yk shane blames himself because its a likely thing for him to do
so he goes for a checkup and his doctor says there’s nothing wrong with him so he tells his husband that and urges him to go get a checkup but he refuses because he’s a strong and virile alpha so why would he need a check up.
shane says whatever because he really wants to try and they try some more but still nothing. so rose seeing how sad her friend is getting takes him out for a night to some high scale club coz both of them are famous.
at some point during the night shane meets ilya, who’s charming, funny and smells really good and shane is tipsy if not drunk, but he’s not entirely gone so he’s aware of what he’s doing (never going to write about non-consensual stuff, this is dubious not non-consensual) because he’s still here not fully sober but he’s conscious of his actions)
so he and ilya flirt for a bit and then they decide to leave there together. so ilya takes him back to his place constantly checks in to make sure shane is fully consenting (which he does dw) and then he fucks him six ways to sunday and rearranges his guts so good he forgets he’s married.
so next morning shane wakes up at ilya’s place and everything comes rushing back and he’s fucking mortified because he just cheated on his husband.
he calls rose because there is no way he’s going home immediately after that never mind the fact that he’s limping and reeks of another alpha so he goes to roses house where he tells her the details and rose is all happy because she hates his husband and has been telling shane for years to leave or cheat on the bitch.
anyways so about a month after shane that shane has started having the symptoms and he’s kinda in denial because he knows there is no way. he goes to his doctor and confirms that yes he is indeed pregnant.
he goes home and tells his husband who is elated that shane is finally pregnant because it proves there’s nothing wrong with him and also finds some way to blame it taking so long on shane.
while shane sits there and stews in guilt because he’s almost 100% sure that his husband isn’t the sire of his child.
