Just realized I’ve not mentioned this yet, but currently I’m taking a required philosophy course for my environmental science major. The one I chose was environmental ethics, and my professor is having us write our midterm papers on some kind of environmental and philosophical intersection through the lens of apocalypse media.
I also found out he’s a critical role fan.
So, like a sane person, I’m going to be writing this paper on Brennan Lee Mulligan’s EXU trilogy, with the general thesis being that if you view the world through the lens of Aristotelian Vice Theory, environmental disasters are caused by discrete units of belief that are the Aristotelian vices. I’m going to display this through the idea of the Gods as representations of the natural order responding to mortal actions driven by these vices (I know it’s not perfect given what we learn in C3, but I’m just using EXU Calamity, Downfall, and Divergence as my media sources). Ya know, a normal and regular college student underpinning. Let’s see how long this will be—
Divergence alone is around 10 hours of content.
…
Welp! Time to lock in and pop off, I suppose!
