"The sun was bright and warm with the light of a fresh day. The land is vast and beautiful, filled with the life of warm bodies and greenery. The air however was heavy. Filled with the smell of the earth freshly overturned. The sounds of a babbling brook that slowly became the backing track so a sound much sweeter. Pure notes, the gentle strumming of a lyre slowly enwrapping the space of time. The air suddenly becomes warm and light instead with the tones of music so lovely it feels the whole world stops to listen. Like the sun itself stutters in the sky just to taste the sounds of such a lovely tune. A man is at the center of the music, his voice just as beautiful as his strumming as he sings to the earth. Tall with tanned skin and dark hair, yet bright eyes like the green of the earth around him. His body is adorned with scars, a stunning pink across his skin bright like his eyes.

Many know the myth of Orpheus, a man in love with Eurydice and travels to the underworld to save her when she dies. Hadestown is a musical based on this story (That you really should watch) and my story is based on Hadestown! With Scar as Orpheus, and Grian as Eurydice, how will our doomed lovers survive this story?"

Our doomed loves for my story, this is a sort of 'official' design for them? With Grian's outfit in the first chapter, and a general design for Scar. G is gonna get an upgrade eventually but it wouldn't leave my mind :D

I drew the godly duo!!! Etho took a while to design tbh, but I'm still torn on if I made him look fancy enough. For Bdubs the cloak is made out of lace and very impractical but I love it!

In my chapter 2 art I feel like I colored the whole piece wronk but you can see some of the cloak patterns better :D

I hope the outfits aren't too conflicting with Grian and Scar, it's just that there's a sort of fusion between ancient greek and the railroad revolution going on for the musical and I wanted to lean into it!

The contast is bc Scar and Grian are mortals in poverty, meanwhile not only are Bdubs and Etho gods, but the Underworld is incredibly rich so they have more 'elevated' styles!

Im brain rotting my Ethostown AU so hard, I made a little list of which hermits are which gods for the au and I can't wait to use them yall... I can't wait to make art- and I refuse to rush myself this time bc I'm still unhappy w how the chapter art turned out for Chapter 2.

Pure notes, the gentle strumming of a lyre slowly enwrapping the space of time and overwashing the heavy air.

It too suddenly becomes warm and light with the tones of music so lovely it feels the whole world stops to listen, like the sun itself stutters in the sky just to taste the sounds of such a lovely tune. A man is at the center of the sounds, his voice just as beautiful as his strumming as he sings to the earth. Tall with tanned skin and dark hair, yet bright eyes like the green of the earth around him. His body is adorned with scars, a stunning pink across his skin bright like his eyes.
