Whumpee who went through something horrible but just. Buried it away in their mind for whatever reason.

Maybe they were on a mission, or they didn’t have time to process it fully because of circumstances, or just simply blinded themself to everything that happened to them.

Whatever the case, Whumpee went buried away their trauma and for several months or even years, we have Whumpee go about their life without thinking about the trauma.

Then someone else goes through something similar to that trauma. A teammate, caretaker, a family member, anyone.

And then all of a sudden, Whumpee starts becoming increasingly aware of what had happened to them.

Oh god they were drugged during their capture. They had people cut them open while they were out of it. They can now feel how hands snake under their clothing, remembering how they forced open their legs. How they got close and told them that they won’t remember a thing and how this would be the best thing that has happened to them and-

Whumpee keeps their mouth shut and focuses on the other whumpee. Because what happened to them already happened. They had time to get upset all that time ago, why are they getting upset now? How do they even tell everyone about what they went through?

They cannot just tell everyone and take the attention off of Whumpee B. They have no right. They already went through everything already and they were fine for so long. This is just a blip and eventually Whumpee will be fine again and so will Whumpee B.

They just need to now ignore the jealous feeling they have inside of them of seeing the amount of care and gentleness Whumpee B is going through and try not to think about how they never had that much care.

A good ol flower shop x tattoo artist AU except Ming Fan is both and LBH is his returning customer in both.

MF was working in a flower shop during his late teens for a little bit of extra cash. One customer always came in and always asked about flowers and their meanings and always left with a sentimental bouquet.

Many times the customer, a boy a little younger than him, would ask what flowers he liked. And because MF was all for making his boss (Shen Jiu) happy, he would lie and say he couldn't choose then recommend whatever flower they were trying to sell.

And of course this customer would buy them and leave while looking like a happy puppy.

But when MF has to enter university, he drops the flower shop job to focus on his education. It's grueling and he's overworked. He starts having problems with his family. And eventually after a big argument, he's disowned, and he drops out.

He soon meets and befriends the sister owner of some tattoo shop (Liu Mingyan) that feels bad enough for him to let him crash with her. MF soon starts getting taught by LMY's brother because he doesn't have anything better to do.

After learning and learning, LQG tells him to practice by himself. MF does and even does a few tattoos on himself once he's confident. He feels proud of himself because he knows his parents would HATE to see him with tattoos.

Soon enough he's employed by LQG and he's doing well for himself. (In the background, liujiu is having their own flower shop x tattoo artist romance/arguing homoerotically across the street going on)

And on a random day, MF is alone manning the shop (b/c LQG is arguing with SJ again) when a guy comes in. Some fuckboy player type with a girl behind him, clearly mad at him. MF vaguely recognizes the guy, but it doesn't ring a bell yet.

The couple is arguing. The girl is demanding the guy that he gets a tattoo of her name to show his loyalty, the guy is clearly trying to gaslight her. They end up breaking up right in front of MF. And MF is just like

The girl storms off, leaving the guy there. The guy turns to MF to ask what he's looking at, and then he seems to recognize MF. And suddenly, he's asking MF what tattoos he could get now.

MF is confused but they didn't have an appointment soon, so he had time to give him something. MF gives this guy his portfolio and he's flipping through it and talking to him.

Eventually the guy asks for some large, ornate design and MF goes "woah 😨" and tells him if he wants something that big he will need to schedule it and that he didn't recommend something that big as a first tattoo. The guy insists and MF pushes back. Eventually they agreed on something small based on a picture of some old jade pendant the guy had saved.

MF thinks that's all, but the guy returns again and again. MF would eventually learn his name too. Every time a tattoo healed, LBH would return to get another. MF sometimes would tell him to wait longer. They would talk sometimes and MF started to feel like these tattoos were needle therapy for LBH.

One day LBH notices the flower tattoos MF has on his arm, and asks about them. MF tells him that he was always rather fond of jasmine flowers, and that he even liked the tea and how it reminded him of his family.

LBH hums in response and then tells MF he wants a big piece again. MF finally gives in and helps him schedule the multiple sessions for it after they settled on a design.

The first session LBH brings him food, by now MF begrudgingly trusts LBH so he accepts it. The second session LBH brings a box of expensive jasmine tea, and MF brews some after he leaves and thinks about his family for the first time in a while.

The next session LBH brings silk jasmine flowers and says they won't wilt like his feelings for MF. MF makes a joke about needing to be invited to dinner first, but he does keep the flowers.

The last session LBH gives MF his number and says how he's willing to try dinner first. MF does save the number.

Now, where is his boss? He needs to ask for time off (LQG is making out with SJ somewhere)
